Hello, I am hesitating between the 16 and 18, for a total Weight of 75. I tested the 16 and its really fun to fly but what is your opinion about using it in a savage mountain environment ? Is it launching fast and easy enough, and for the landing you need a lot of distance to land or you can land more slowly ? Thanks !
Hello Fabien, as soon as you have a little breeze, it comes up very easy. But you still have to be carefull for the lines, that they arent holded back by some sharp edges (as on every glider). But in general it is not different with other light weight mini wings, regarding robustness. If you want a more robust glider, i have once tested the Airdesign SuSi 4 (16m2). This one looks a bit more durable on cost of some additional weight and packing size. But defenitely also really fun to fly. Regarding landing space. Until now, i always had plenty of space, so i cant really say on what it is gonna be like to place it in a tight spot. Since you fly slower on the bigger glider (weight stays constant), the bigger glider might be a bit better for small landings. but i dont know if the difference will be significant.
Hoi Bensch, ich find den Kode P tip top. Mit 75 - 80kg Fluggewicht (16m2) ist der Schirm schon schön dynamisch. Ich empfinde den Schirm als sicher, wenn man sich seiner Dynamik bewusst ist und nicht blindlings Risiken eingeht. Falls mal ein Vorwärtsstart nötig sein sollte, so funktioniert bei mir A und B deutlich besser als nur A. Der Spirit von Skywalk finde ich etwas sicherer und bietet trotzdem noch einen sehr hohen Spassfaktor bei genügen Flächenbelastung.
