- What if the BIGGEST WAR that ever happened... didn't? SCP-5135 also known as The War That Never Was is a global scale conflict that seems to have not occurred, despite there being various evidence that it did. SCP 5135 seems to have involved at least four global superpowers including the United States and China. SCP5135 involved high levels of espionage and cyber warfare but also numerous physical military engagements, including the detonation of nuclear weapons.

I'm absolutely losing it with how he's holding his glasses
*MMMMMMM-*
No one who has ever owned glasses has held them like that.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!? You’ll smudge them like fuck!
Hey there! I'm CityToast-- the author of this SCP.
You did such an amazing job portraying this story. I love it so much.
You did a great job
This is a great SCP. Instead of trying some variant of Eldritch horror, or other spookum, it's (if not for smartphones and the internet) plausible. With the recent rise of mis/disinformation, and the attempts to censor it, it's probably worth sharing (outside of the SCP fandom) purely as a conversation piece.;
Who tf his this invincible "superpower"?
The plot twist at the end is rlly messing with my mind.
There is no such thing as a true canon in the SCP universe as it is written by multiple writers, but given that SCP-2000 has been activated at least a couple of times and there are records of a scientist asking how many times do we need to relive the 20th and 21st century, could SCP-5135 have taken place in a previous version of these years instead of in an alternate reality? Given how highly classified SCP-2000 is, this is highly probable.
My personal belief is scp 2000 is scp 1. All anomalies arrive from the restarts
There are interdimensional and other anomalies that can't be explained by a reset like SCP-2399. Actually, this does cause a weird issue with SCP-2399 if it was set in the same canon. If we've been repeating the 20th and 21st century again and again because of constant world ending anomalies, then 2399 is repairing itself considerably slower than anyone in the SCP Foundation currently believes.
Although the SCP Foundation has created a number of anomalies with resets though like SCP-3002, which was their attempt to have a global amnestic. There is also SCP-4011 which was created by supposedly a previous iteration of the Foundation on Mars that the current SCP Foundation has no idea what to do about.
SCP-001 is a title that should never be claimed by any anomaly because it has developed its own mythos now and it is fantastic.
@@typhir5911 facts
@@typhir5911 I have a few words to tear this argument apartment 055 and 579
It's such a distressing thought that something happened but no one remembers it.
There's a whole lot of that in the Foundation.
Even the Foundation doesn't know how many times there have been "reboots of reality".
Things in real life happen all the time and ot is swept away so fast people forget.
Damn I really liked that plot twist at the end
I know right! I was like: How is the US covering this whole mess up? The SCP Foundation are normally the masters of covering things up! *Sees the ending*
_Goddamn fucking Jesus Christ_
It put a darkly twist on the SCP Foundation main job: maintain normalcy.
I think that it the war was an Xk calls senerio, so they had to use the reset scps to prevent it.
Hi, 5135's author here!If you get a chance, writing the Foundation as the bad guys is one of my favorite things. You may like my 6K entry, "Theseus". Go check it out!
@@Dorktoast Dude, after this twist, how can I resist?
"The war that never was" It is both a comfort, and an ominous warning. Perhaps the antimemetics had been in use since 2009, which is why we don't remember it? But regardless, it's still ominous
So too
That was what I was thinking too.
I'm more interested in how the Foundation was able to cover up all of the damage caused in the war. Sure, antimemetics would help in suppressing public knowledge, but nuclear bombings and international invasions would be hard to cover up simply due to the fact that there would still be lingering fallout and spent/missing resources and people. That being said, the Foundation were able to rewrite history so that the Gulf of California always naturally existed after a Factory-corrupted incomplete Broken God rampaged through Mexico in SCP 001.
Well, SCP-2000 has been used to reset the world ending before. Apparently, there were many more World Wars than two. This SCP could be the remnants of one of them. SCP-2000 was used when the world ended around 1976 and there's a number of remnants of that time, including SCP-2316 and SCP-4833. So it wouldn't be surprising if this really happened
My theory is it did happen in our timeline, leading to an extinction scenario, which lead to a history reset using scp2000.
To avoid this situation arising again, two of the superpowers were written out of history.
What is the name of that anomalous civilisation whose history keeps on being changed by a vampire book? They may have been one of the combatants.
@@benrussell-gough1201 no, i don't think so, that scp tells an chronicle of the civilisation know as daevites, and its not only one book, theres probally hundreds of them spread throughout the world, and they were extinct by some chinese empire, but, everytime it consumes blood, the daevites get to live a little longer, and some scp's are created by them, and every time they live a little longer, they create a new artifact that's anomalous.
If they were to do that, they'd have to rewrite all of reality from scratch, all of history, the world would be nothing like today. I think that the other two superpowers still exist (maybe it was Russia, or a superpower that still doesn't exist yet like an united Europe) but we don't know who they are because of the suppression of information.
@@raspiethesoviet sorry, when I used the Phrase "Written out of History" That's what I meant. When they use SCP 2000, they clone people, reconstruct the infrastructure, even move continents (see bottled message recovered from Mariana Trench). They then manufactured a new history of the world, usually just resetting to a previous point in the timeline, using amnestics. If the two superpowers they wanted to remove were, lets say, a united South America and United Africa (as examples), they could redraw maps and rewrite history so those superpowers never formed, instead replacing them with a number of smaller countries with histories that won't allow them to unite.
You mean Daevastan? ;D
Well if the world ended then I feel like SCP 2000 would have re-did all
Yup
That is a high likely chance it did happen, and also has to closest of sense. The fact SCP 2000 has done this more then once, the chances of this already happing is high. What ever the SCP is finding could be left over from the original scp forces who see it better to just keep this incident in history as it should be a faded memory that no one should ever know about at all.
Probably
That's a super good theory . I would love if it was a official lore .
Pretty sure scp 2000

Theory : The war do happen here in 2009-2017 but the foundation use scp 2000 to reset it and rewrite history to make it seem it never happen before.
yeah make sense. considering the nukes however, they arent lying to us.
Other two will most likely be Russia and india as they rank 2 and 4th respectively in global fire Power index
Awesome channel
holy crap! the ending had such a good plot twist.
damn, I hope you do more scp's like this
Major props to the original author and ODDity for this video. One of the best ones to date out of the 3 collaborators!

Loving y’all’s channel!
Another SCP channel?!? Awesome!
plot twist...this did really happen and thats why the manela effect came from...but they wiped this cause it happen so close....older memorys are harder to erase cause there deep in your pyskcie
Loving the vids
Same
I would assume that, with the 90+ megaton nuclear bomb being located in a heavily populated area, this really should be considered Euclid.
Even if that's the only potentially dangerous part of the SCP, it's impossible to know if anything could detonate it and what that might be.
that ending is terrifying to think of though, we could have no idea that it is currently happening
Hey man don’t give up on videos! I love them so much! They are honestly much better than the crap other people are doing! You get right to the point of the subject and don’t use stupid back stories or fillers to buy up time. Your animation is awesome and I love your voice or the voices you use for your narration. Keep up the amazing work! I don’t want you to quit! And I support you!
Well the 4 super powers could be.
USA
China - against USA
Russia - hostile against China but neutral against USA.
NKorea who attacked US Soil.
What if that war did happen, but that Yellowstone machine was used
Ok didn’t realize that they kinda went there at the end, I was only at the beginning of the video.

ODDity, you have one of the best visuals to present SCPs 🔥🔥🔥
*Thank you for showing this to me now.*
Why those M10s moving toward rear??Shell can easily pierce that part.
And by the way is there a "Deavat superpower" engaged?

Me: the war that was never war?!?!
Wow, this was really really cool scp.
Very good 👍
What if this is the more successful SCP-5000 version or alternate universe?
Instead of the SCP foundation almost destroying all life they found a better way of dealing with "it" and manage to cover all up.
Watching this in 2021, and with COVID-19 and all, this entire thing might not be just a scp anyway.....
Very cool ending for the vid
You should do SCP 5254 also known as gotta catch them all
See whats interesting is that even with the plot twist its unclear. The floating bomb does still suggest that it may be anomalous. So it just ends up being a classic scp open ending. Fun.
new scp animation yay
Sounds like a WW3 level war
The Plot twist got me
Can you do scp 096 i think you can really explain more about it because hes mostly a mystery
I feel like the 60 seconds man and the undetinated war head are related
hmm you might be right

That's so epic!
I remember the war that should supposed to happen in the year 2020 that resulted into nuclear war. 80% of the population died and the biomass of the Earth cannot be reversed. The world is covered with ash, and went to another ice age. Some of the bastards think they should travel through time and escape the madness. Good thing some guy did something to halt the war by making a common threat that resulted into the world uniting to fight the common foe.
Alteady figgured it out, its at the “any1 comfirming the war had to be brought in”
The nuke wiped out humanity, after that: SCP-2000 Yellowstone
scp 5135. epic
Ebic
I hate that feeling when you misplaced an entire global war
i would use scp 184 on the contaiment of that suspended tzar bomba.. and tlet it grow the contaiment building so large that it could encompase and soak all the damage of the bomb personally... even a tzar bomba cant explode en almost infinityl large space... but once detonated the building can later be demolished once the radiation goes down... just grow it big enough then send in some d-classes to disarm it... gg ez!
Possibly you could use SCP | SCP-662 instead of D-classes.. (he would better be able to navigate the space too)
You know what I find the most interesting? i thought for a moment "There's no way even the foundation could cover it up, there would be evidence" and then I realized, there is.
Everything under the classification of SCP 5135 would count as proof, and yet the foundation claims all it is is evidence of a war from another timeline, if they were going to hide something of that scale it would make sense to take all the evidence, classify it as an SCP, and claim it's simply an anomaly of a war from another timeline.
As for other groups knowing, most don't want to show themselves and the rest the foundation has done a pretty good job of hiding, in addition the foundation has spies in each group of interest all over the world.
But here's the problem: Why actually make a file about this "SCP" when you could just _not_ ? Just don't classify it! Keep it in some file and that's it! Even less suspicion about this _alternate dimesnion war_ .
@@amyli7315 Well since it's the foundation, everyone in the foundation is used to being surrounded by anomalies all the time, if they found intel that suggested the foundation had objects in it's possession that weren't listed in the files people would be curious, but give them an SCP designation, make a file on it, and claim it's from an alternate dimension and to the people working there it's just another anomaly and they won't question it since it's just business as usual for them.
What if this is the timeline that John Titor changed?
Just makes me think of yellow stone park for some reason and the class of 76

from the sounds of it the "war that never was"; (scp-5135) might be scp-2273 home world. timeline and info does seam line up. the excess fallout could be the cause of exchange of items between worlds.
i was going to say it was perfect but there would be references to Bigfoot or scp-1000 in science terms

Why does the alternate version get irl fallout lucky ducks
So its Battlefield 4

I’d assume the other two powers would most likely be the Russian federation and republic of India, possibly/probably with the Russians being on the Chinese side, and the Indians being on the American side. That’s just my best guess though.
Nah I think it might of been some new Africa superpower in there alternate reality because Russia no matter what can’t invade the USA they don’t have enough ports to send a army but a United Africa has the potential of doing it as they would not only be way more powerful then Russia but they would probably have the resources and supplies to do it
@@randomgreek5682 idk about that, according to RealLifeLore’s video, a United Africa currently actually wouldn’t really be all that impressive, aside from being the fastest growing population in the world that is. There is a wealth of resources, but tapping them is difficult and a lot of them aren’t really wartime resources per se. There’s also the coordination issue because the massive diversity in ethnicities and languages could potentially make a United Africa sort of like a massive version of Austria-Hungary, though probably with Arabic, English and French (and maybe Portuguese) as a common lingua Franca (then again, Austria-Hungary also had a lingua franca or two, and it didn’t much help them).
The third unknown superpower has positioned itself as China's enemy, but America didn't claimed any affiliations with them.
Maybe you're right? Because, China and India hate each other.
Then come Detective Void. Lol

This scp is nothing really in the scp lore the world has ended about 15000 times already but foundation or one of the gois just uses scp 1000(I think it was) the cloning facility to clone everyone and just wait out tge event before repopulaiting the earth or in expesally bad cases someone uses scp 055 with one I cant remember the name of to reset the timeline so this is quite tame all things considered
