Nima is part of the akanetso lands which was bought by Nii Odotei Shishiagbo, the father of Nii Odoi Kwao in 1810. It was in 1931 that the fulani families that is Molai Fulani, Imoro Wangara, Korlai Fulani and Gimbala came to the Nii Odoi Kwao family in Osu to seek for the land, they did not buy the land. They were helped by Mallam Amadu Futa. Till date these families come to the Nii Odoi Kwao family in Osu to perform customs. The town was known as Nii Odotei Shishiagbo man later became known as Niiman and it has been anglophonised into Nima now. Out of the four families came the influx of muslims into Nima.
Nima like any other old neighborhood of mixed people have evolved.There are a lot of good and educated people in Nima.Be an objective and Neutral journalist(s) and you you will find some good to report or write about Nima.I, like many of my educated brothers and sisters are product of Nima.Change your perception and go out there to get another and better narrative of Nima
