@@alesafreire So check your game switcher. I noticed I had 2 “Ride 4” games in my storage & I’m able to toggle between the ps4 version & the ps5 version in the Game Switcher. Thankfully all of my bikes & credits are still on the ps4 version.
@@justjustin1234 Thanks, buddy, I've deleted the PS4 version but the save is in the cloud. The issue here is that they are not compatible...I've sent a support request for Milestone, asking them to fix this, since it works with the Xbox series.
@@alesafreire They don't appear interested in fixing it. As someone with over 120hrs in the PS4 version I don't find it next gen enhancements worth losing my progress. It's sad cause it's really not a hard thing to fix. Even if they can't figure it out directly on the PS5, you'd think they could allow you upload your PS4 save to their server, do the conversion and then download it to the PS5.... but guess that's too much effort for them. Worse is they've had 5 months to get this working day one. They knew it was an issue but said nothing so no doubt catching a lot of people of guard about it. Just very bad customer service and marketing. Making all those excuses doesn't help either. and as of today a week after release, they still make no mention of the PS5 save transfer issue nor if they actually plan to fix it or not

Has anyone else noticed that the level of detail on trackside shadows pops in quite close to the rider? Really noticeable on Imola and Kanto. Kills immersion a little.
What I like about this game is that you get to ride on open roads and not just confined to just a boring racetrack. But why can’t someone make a bike sim where you get to ride on something beside a sport bike like a touring bike or a chopper?
No kidding so many bikes out there and the stuff they can do with games now they could make a absolutely bad ass motorcycle game. I wish they would do a big open world game like that.

I want it where I feel the vibration of the engine to let me know when to shift. I've always felt a disconnect on racing games with manual shifts, so I just use auto. The engine sound is not enough for me to do manual, it's more about feel to me.
@@bloomerb4162 the haptics in Ride 4 and also MotoGP21 ( on ps5 obviously) will tell you when to shift. You'll feel the engine vibrations increase the more revs it makes

I bought the game on PC but i'm now quite interested in whether or not I could buy a Ps5 controller to get the features with the feedback with the controller. Would be a nice little addition I think.
Tech radar - If you do use your PS5 DualSense controller on PC, it’s important to remember that the adaptive triggers won’t be utilized when playing on a PC, and haptic feedback is also disabled as it stands.
i can confirm, you do have some vibrations, but the real feedback is not there. Nor the adaptive triggers. Maybe in a future driver update, but don`t hold your breath for it.
We need a video focusing on first person view. In Ride 1 they had a fairly decent locked on and stable first person view and then it all went to crap on Ride 2 when they tried for that leaning realism. Unfortunately control took a hit and wanted to see what the new first person looked like.

Honestly, as a developer, I don't think that it is hard to transfer the saves. They gotta simply give a new update to the PS4 Game which will make a copy of the re-save file into the format the PS5 wants and then remotely sync them with a server where the save file is linked to the PSN Email ID or allow users to type their personal email id - then in the PS5 connect to the server again and sync with the file and overwrite the current save files with the newly created ones. The above process is not the point I am trying to bring but it is doable I what I am trying to explain. Moreover, it is a known factor that the next generation is going to come inevitably. Cheers!

I was just wondering how the feedback feels like when you are about to lose grip. Is the feedback significantly better than regular vibration? Does the trigger do an ABS pump when you are about to tuck the front?
I haven’t noticed and abs kicking in but then I have abs turned off but I think I read somewhere that you can feel the ABS kicking in, as for grip yes you can feel it losing

Really wish Milestone had advised us that the saves wouldn't transfer.... The fact that liveries aren't there either along with the presumably reduced player pool for multiplayer has resulted in me sticking with PS4. Still a great game but a bit of an anti climax. I have this game on ps5. One of the thing that annoys me sometimes is when chasing/following riders in a race, cornering becomes jittery. Like there is a graphics problem with the camera following the bike. Got an update today but not tried it yet. Hopefully they fixed it.
I never really care about saved data for me if a game is really fun I love to restart the game from scratch that just means I'll have more fun unlocking everything again & replaying the missions. I lost count how many times I restarted just cause 3 from scratch I'm addicted to blowing stuff up in that game.

Yep - I lost everything. I researched before upgrading and there was no information or warning at all that your PS4 save would be wiped. Approached Milestone who responded with: “unfortunately when upgrading to the Ps5 version the previous saves are cleaned and cannot be used. Kind regards, The Milestone Team” Previous saves are cleaned. Meaning I can’t even go back to the PS4 version. Big, big mistake. All those bikes, credits, liveries, and hours gone Really think it should have been made clear. Hope nobody else makes this mistake Ironically, without haptics and adaptive triggers - Ride4 PS4 version was running at a solid 60fps on PS5 in the game’s performance mode

I use manual transmission in all races, I just use the default button mapping but swap tuck and clutch around

The next gen updates have certainly reduced online lobbies, couldn’t find a single lobby on ps5, only found 1 on Xbox

Sure it's not supposed to be like that? When you chase someone in a race, in real life, you get dirty/warm air, which creates turbulence

Shouldn’t be haptic resistance on the throttle... you can max wrist a motorcycle throttle with no problems
It’s not a massive amount of resistance, it’s there more to simulate the feeling of the throttle being turned if that makes sense.
If you play in a dark room the shift light on the light bar is cool

At the beginning the motocykle looks awful but the game itself looks standard. And why is it so blury? Seems like 30 fps.
Check your internet it’s 60fps, where are you in your mums basement? Bad wifi?
