    The 1st bike I ever rode on the road in the early 70s was a Honda 125. Was fun. So I agree with you that there is nothing wrong with small displacement bikes.

    Good these bikes exist to allow young riders to start and older rider to possibly get a bike again just to bimble on country roads or get to work while saving on fuel. Cheap yes but I guess none of the dubious bits are so bad and can be replaced. Giving the owner a bit of personal touches. I guess as long as owners remember to not skimp on maintenance it will serve them well.

    • @roadblastmedia
      @roadblastmedia  2 года назад +1

      Yeah mate it feels like a very universal bike alot of the bits would be interchanged with other chinese models so parts would probably be plentiful and generic easy to work on and maintain, for the price point its a great little bike and perfect for a learner as if it gets dropped its not the end of the world plus very forgiving power

  • @strollbaby

    Cool, like the styling: is very old school. Looking for something cheap, and light, just to ride to the shops and maybe the beach, that I won't be too gutted about wrecking, lol.
    Just to ride till I feel like something bigger, while going through learners and restricted.
    Looks great - small power and weight upgrade from mountain biking - an easy to handle and forgiving starter.

As for the rest of the bike just keep it clean and apply a decent aerosol protectant on it after washing it ,
      Servicing is easy just tappets and oil change to keep it running sweet .

    Never heard of Hanway in the US and I'm not 100%, but I think linked brakes on two wheelers are not legal here. Definitely wouldn't want that off road!!😬 $3,500 NZD Google says is about $2,200 USD, so yeah, the price is right. I'd say it's a good scooter alternative or 1st bike for someone young, small or maybe a little timid. Delete the linked brakes and probably be a great stowaway campground bike too.
    On another note, I registered to get the opportunity to buy one of the 30 120th Anniversary Special Edition Interceptors being sent to the US. It happens 1:20 PM 25th August. 30 Interceptors and 30 Continental GTs. So wish me luck. I'll keep you informed.

    I don't know, I love your enthusiasm for this oddball bike, but my thoughts are that you would have to be prepared to keep it and ride it into the ground, almost a disposable bike if you like, because it wouldn't have much resale value, then you have to ask yourself how long is it going to last for. IMHO, save a bit more money and get a Honda.

    • @roadblastmedia
