Sketch Markers are alcohol based, but there is a water based version (Goldfaber Aqua?) that comes in a similar barrel. The Pitt pens should be water soluble before they dry.
These markers dominated the market here in Brazil because of the tradition of the brand, which owns around 90% of the market. It is very difficult for you not to find another brand other than Faber-Castell or its subsidiaries as they have gigantic factories here. This markers are a rare exception of a pens who are not made here,as they made it China.
The packaging is misleading. On the package it looks like they write on black paper as well as white paper, but that is not the case. The markers do not show at all on black paper.
Where did you get the shade names from again? I have these, I’m trying to swatch, but Faber Castell website gives different color names. The website also gives 21 colors in their list instead of 20. 🥴

Yes I think there are Goldfaber Aqua. Those would be fun to try :)
Thanks for the review on this! I was wondering if they're worth it or not because I love a good brush pen!
You can use a pallette to use them as watercolour x
It would be a very, very soft water color. They don’t move very much on the paper. But maybe a palette would help it be stronger.
For coloring, yes. But I need something like 50+ colors minimum, personally. So it will be waiting for them to come out in my case.

Thank you so much for the background!

I've tried them. They're okay for coloring but, in my opinion, they're not good at all for lettering.
