This was the last great period in Hip Hop. 50 Cent was the last rapper to start a worldwide movement. Since 50, there hasn't been another rapper even half as big to come out.

This was a very exciting era of hip hop. 2003 came in so tragic for me because my mother was murdered in January of 2003. I remember going to the All-Star game in Atlanta in February and 'Get Rich or Die Tryin' just dropped and was in heavy rotation in every car, club and in our hotel lobby. I remember we kept playing the beginning of '21 Questions' and starting it over like we were Funk Flex at The Tunnel. This wave went all practically all year and then the G-Unit album dropped and they had it knock for like 3-4 years. This era helped me through a dark place of being swallowed whole from grieving over my mother's death. Knowing 50's back story made me want celebrate life through the worst time of my life.

50 the Biggest and Hardest in the game period. His blueprint is incredible and has been copied by the industry since he dropped. I’m a HUGE lil Wayne fan and he took the mixtape game to a new level but he was already signed, 50 was the originator of that and it blew my mind!
