That Spinner piece is legendary.
This was the last great period in Hip Hop. 50 Cent was the last rapper to start a worldwide movement. Since 50, there hasn't been another rapper even half as big to come out.
I’d argue Kanye, who blew up right after 50.
Kanye?
@@Eli-ss9gj Wayne also blew up after fiddy.
Lil Wayne, Kanye and Drake come to mind

This was a very exciting era of hip hop. 2003 came in so tragic for me because my mother was murdered in January of 2003. I remember going to the All-Star game in Atlanta in February and 'Get Rich or Die Tryin' just dropped and was in heavy rotation in every car, club and in our hotel lobby. I remember we kept playing the beginning of '21 Questions' and starting it over like we were Funk Flex at The Tunnel. This wave went all practically all year and then the G-Unit album dropped and they had it knock for like 3-4 years. This era helped me through a dark place of being swallowed whole from grieving over my mother's death. Knowing 50's back story made me want celebrate life through the worst time of my life.
Glad you stayed strong
@@johnnystlouis8081 much love. Thank you
Rest in peace to your mother 🙏🏾
I’m glad he helped. Because moms are everything.
What an era... The music from will never be duplicated again... It was hard not to go platinum in these day 😂... Streaming don’t feel the same as going to fye and paying $13 dollars out pocket
U anit lyin miss fye I had all the CDs an DVDs

Frfr I missed doing that no lie.

Tbh 50 cent is the first rap artist I listen to growing up in my pre teen years get Rich or die trying blew me away when I was younger is a masterpiece.
This was the good days
I miss the old bet days mane rap city 106 and park.good old days !😊!
Rap City Classic, shout out to Big Tigger. I've met him in New York during my college vacation.
”My words touch niggas in jail, making them wanna finish the last set” Banks🔥🔥
Banks has always been a problem lyrically.
50 the Biggest and Hardest in the game period. His blueprint is incredible and has been copied by the industry since he dropped. I’m a HUGE lil Wayne fan and he took the mixtape game to a new level but he was already signed, 50 was the originator of that and it blew my mind! Mike Jones is another example of who followed his blueprint. I respect 50 so much ! A true legend
These artist ran the mixtape circuit during this era
Jeezy ☃️ Trap or Die
Lil Wayne
50 Cent
Lil Flip
@@drosmith1781 the lox ran the mixtape era as well to
Banks as usual is the most laid back and calm one
Also the best in the whole unit
@@ronaldjames7843 so he better than 50 cent😂
@@derrismyricks6702 lyrically yes

Big Tigger a legend. I met him back in 98 in Miami. Big Pun was there to. Miss those days
One of the best debuts of all time
Young 50! Damn I remember this
Fkn love that g unit chain
Its crazy back then he said Many Men was his favorite but when people ask him now he says its his least favorite
People that say this was the good days because we all was living at home 🏠 with moms lol ! They was in the basement we was in our rooms with school in the morning we had no worries BUT to watch this shit !
Nostalgia is funny that way lol. You right

Baggier the clothes, The better the music.

Hopefully it does slightly
Baggy jeans is getting back luckily
13:23 50 Cent's verse is from G Unit's song Whoo Kid Kayslay Shit! from G Unit's mixtape 50 Cent Is The Future
15:21 - 15:25 50 Cent used that part in DJ Kay Slay's song Angles Around Me, the next year
16:06 Lloyd Banks uses that verse in Obie Trice's song We All Die One Day
I LIKE 50 AND THE G-UNIT
50 cent truly the last real Gangster Rapper in Hip hop. This was a crazy period in history. Every record he was putting out was another nail in the coffin of his enemies. Dre, Eminem and 50 cent and his G-unit were unstoppable... I miss this era so much.
I miss this show i miss the late 90s early 2000s?
50 was one of the last of the real Gangsters in hip hop
In the mainstream yes
Glad I could witness this era.
Legendary shit right here
I can't listen to today's music smh it's nothing like the 80s 90s and the last of the best the early 2000s wow great memories
Stfu and go to my page and find that same music u claim u miss
Same hip hop now is completely dead and gone is not coming back like it use to be and that's the harsh truth it cannot be saved at this point.
I think the 80s were known more for Pop and R&B..90s were rap and I'll give early 00s..
Good job 👍 50 cent and G-UNIT
50 cents running de hip hop all day long for real we❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This album dropped when I was 14 in high school. I wanted to dress and be like these guys.
When 50 was talking about it being even now he has money to go against ja rule you see banks wave his finger like "shhh nigga", now that's a homie to make you not incriminate yourself on tv
Banks always acted like a kid who wanted to leave church, I fw em but how can you make that guy a star?
He never really wanted to be a star tho
All he wanted was the respect as a MC & he's done proved that. He has a huge following & large amount of listeners on Spotify. Don't let these major record labels brainwash you.
They should of kept that ashanti beat for banks & buck lol
I had the DVD! 💪🏾✌🏾🤘🏾
1:17 he probably let Buck wear that spinning chain coz he could spin it better. 50 looked like he was struggling
I always thought that was Buck chain. Because buck wore in the videos. But now I see 50 wearing it. And this was before G Unit. It probably was 50 chain. And he let Buck wear it
@@jaimainejackson1560 G-Unit already existed a year before
9:29 - the Lost Tapes reference 😂😂 clearly a reference to Nas' album The Lost Tapes lol
that freestyle was ill he smoked that
Those were the days

Put the music higher. I could still hear him talking
Big tigger is the best rapper
Never knew what jersey that was tigger was wearing.
Super thug 50
I see Bob Marley photo in the back on of 50 cent that's cool?
I remember I was so mad they stopped lol mad as heck lol
I like this freestyle but the other one what they did over the Running beat was meaaaaannn
To think Pop Smoke was the best thing since 2003
50 cent had that plan as far as what he was gonna do with g unit when big Tigger asked him and transpired in that order lloyd banks dropped his album just by actions his meant what he said from the start
I guess DJs always been bad at knowing street politics. Lol. How you playing a Murder Inc. song with G-Unit there. 😂

I hope you Youngsters do your homework and educate yourselves on the History that paved the way for you to be in the position that you are today.. Don’t complain or compare today to back then cuz it’s a battle you will lose every time. Instead honor the culture and pay homage
Paying that 13 cuz we was real fans now I wouldn’t bother

50 was hating so hard on Rule. First of all he said I'm not pursuing that lol, but that's exactly what he did.
Secondly he's talking all that bs about about Ja making Rnb records yet went and did the exact same thing! He literally took Ja whole style........ and that freestyle was trash.
He tricked Ja out of his spot this chess not checkers
