Bullocks!! The majority of people are good-hearted. Whereas it turns my stomach that we are living in a society where a grown man is paid good money to spew such unbelievable, dim-witted, hate mongering bullocks: "Crocheting is definitely not a left wing activity and I'm all in favur of right wing crocheting"... Unbelievable, divisive, bullocks! It's not even funny, except for how absurd it is... He talks just like a 12 year old bully in school.
People, please look beyond the divisive, hate inspiring, and obfuscating rubbish spouting from these two acolytes of entrenched wealth/power. There is no "new" elite. Wealth has equalled power for at least a couple thousand years in these parts, and inequitable or unbalanced distributions of power invariably lead to those with wealth/power exploiting or oppressing the economically poor/powerless (often to the point where hierarchically organized empires historically walk off of social or environmental cliffs and collapse).
Our modern Western democracies have varied in their succees at resisting both the concentration of wealth/power into entrenched hiearchies, and the dysfunctional, self-seving influence that they have on our governance institutions since World Wars I and II, but it feels like a lot of back-sliding has been occurring recently. However, this isn't due to the rising of a "new" elite of woke, progressive lefts! That is a complete diversionary fiction largely created intentionally by media outlets owned by the wealthy and powerful! (for one, the conservative "right" has been in power for the last 13 years or so, and the large majority of the current crop of brexiteers are all oxford graduates, and clamour to be as anti-woke as possible and pander to the far right). The hate mongering identity politics that media outlets and populist politicians are trading in, such as these two in this video, only serves entrenched wealth/power by keeping us politically divided along identity and cultural lines that have VERY LITTLE TO ZERO INFLUENCE on our material well being and security. Whereas, there are very real and unjust disparities among economic classes regarding access to healthcare, education, clean food and environments, access to justice and the courts, access to land and resources, stable incomes, etc..., and most importantly, access to and influence on our goverance institutions. We need to politically unite among these very real class divides to exert our collective power and influence on our governance institutions and political parties to govern for the common good, and stop serving the self-interest of economic elites (competing with other elites both nationally and globally) at the expense of every day people, both here and abroad... (do you think all those immigrants actually want to leave their homes, families, and cultures behind except for the fact that their war-torn societies have been destabilized by these very same self-serving interests of entrenched wealth/power? For example, the deadly combination of business in oil and guns produces a lot of profit for a select few).
I love to visit other countries and appreciate their unique cultures. I don’t want to open my front door and have a foreign culture pushed upon me at the expense of my own, British culture.
I left my community ages ago. Because, my community had been pushed out.
My mantra, too‼️ Last thing I want is a United States of Britain! There's a reason we like to travel to other countries, and it's certainly not just for the weather!

I used to get really upset when anybody called me a racist, especially by people who only ever saw somebody of a different race when they were dining out.
I gave up on that and now my answer is 'yes, what is your point'? The confusion on the faces of these idiots after I say that is sometimes beautiful. They fired their big gun at me and it just bounced off. Once that accusation is used up, they rarely have any other cogent argument.

On the world scale the English people are an indigenous minority group (as are the Scots, Welsh and Irish) and we have an absolute natural right to want to preserve ourselves as a distinct people and to preserve our culture and our country. The lefties would never criticise an Amazonian tribe for wanting to preserve themselves as a distinct group on their own land and wanting to keep the white man away - on the contrary, they'd get their full support.

Re the current adverts on TV there's one that I laugh at each time I see it. It's the McDonald's ad where a geezer lorry driver arrives home and gives his Asian wife a burger he's bought for her. Honestly! It's ludicrous.

I must say: I didn't think Donald Trump was a bad President by any standards before, or since. I was called a racist when I said I voted for Brexit, by a Champagne Socialist, Prius driving friend. I dread to think what she would say if it became known I stopped being a life long Labour voter at the last election.

Well no because as you can see in every major town and city people purporting to be homeless are causing all kinds of anti-social behaviour on the street that councils are struggling to tackle, local police are too busy safeguarding people and playing social/mental health worker to fix these issues aswell.
Yet these characters are in charge of charities and pressure organisations who are actively legislating government to soften laws.

What the likes of Lineker don’t explain is why they think that the majority of those who arrive illegally on our shores are mainly men of a young age , have paid for a seat in a dinghy rather than on a ferry or aeroplane, have no ID and claim asylum despite having travelled through several EU countries where they should/could have claimed asylum, why these men have left their female relatives to an unknown fate. But there again Lineker was very open with his beliefs that it was wrong to play football in Qatar because of Human rights but he still stayed in Qatar to report on the football because that was his job. This is just one example of the woke left who shout foul whilst shitting in their own nest.

The emergence of 'wokeism' in Britain arises in part because the society has been absorbing many immigrants from its former colonies and is adjusting to accommodate them. Obviously coming from former colonies these immigrants (over the past few decades) have very different views on Britain as a colonial power which exploited their nations and did a lot of harm to them (e.g. the great Indian famine) - so they resent Western culture and values. It is these views, along with the Marxism preached by many academics in the Humanities, which are driving the woke consciousness.
The same is true for the inclusion of women and sexual minorities in the workplace and the political sphere. This echoes the effect of the early industrial revolution which drew women into the industrial workforce, just as they are now being drawn into sectors such as services, information technology, the arts, academics and communications. As their involvement in these sectors grows these identity groups attain more power, both economic and political, hence they are swaying the social agenda towards their interests.
The task of absorbing these people into society and the workplace is being effected by the managerial class which runs the institutions of politics and the economy. You need look no further than the fact that the Prime Minister of Britain is of Indian descent, as are others in his Cabinet, to see that immigrants (and women, alphabet people etc.) now have both the political and economic power to affect the policies of academic institutions, corporations and government.
So the crocheters are off the hook then.
