With the large amount of cave systems in some national parks (especially near the Appalachian Trail) I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these kids might’ve fallen through the brush into a hole, or even found one and jumped into it. Reminds me of a certain game…
Caves are a horrific thought. I’m from knetucky , so mammoth cave is underneath me everywhere I go (and we still don’t know how big it actually is) so scary that a sink hole can just open and you could fall into it with no one to see!
I fully believe that caves are a big reason people vanish like this. I've seen maps of unusual disappearances vs cave systems (I'm sure anyone interested in this topic has) and they match up way too well for coincidence in my opinion. It would be so easy to stumble into a cave, decide to explore then get lost forever, or simply fall into one and never come out and all the searchers miss it. Possibly even animal attacks that end up with the person dragged into a cave. Scary stuff.
Welcome to the underground How was the fall? If you wanna look around Give us a call We don't see humans often We're happy you just dropped in I'll be so popular when I show all the monsters what I just brought in
Thank you SO MUCH for doing the lesser known ones. I am so tired of hearing the same exact stories done 10 different ways. Not only do these other stories deserve to be heard, this is a massive untapped market that many people only barely touch on. Even guys who cover this regularly almost always just do the same ones everyone else has done with very rare variety. Would love to see you revisit this again
Personally, I believe that morgan decided to live off the grid inside of the Grand Canyon. If you really think about it, you could totally do it. So if Morgan was able to sneak away and avoid people, then he could live off the fat of the land
Enjoyed this video! It would be cool to see more of them. I like your presentation style, I can absorb the information quicker than watching a longer video about an individual case.
I live in the area of Cody Wyoming and I have been there a LOT LOT( don’t call me out) and the Shoshone river is a big river that flows from the buffalo bill dam and if it is June, then the dam will be at full release and it would be insanely easy to disappear into those waves, and the Shoshone river is the only place for rafting so he must be at the bottom of the river, old Cody is also in the bottom of the reservoir and he may have gotten hung up and drowned in a flooded building
maybe morgan heimer got sucked under the water in the colorado river from an eddy/whirlpool and ended up trapped under rocks or something kind of like how people go missing in the bolton strid in england. idk anything about the geology of the river and how severe the eddys can get so i could be completely wrong, but that’s what makes me most sense to me since neither him nor his clothes were found.
@@SkyeWolfx i did a bit of reading after making my original comment and apparently the colorado river actually does have some pretty rough eddy’s in some places 😳😳
The child missing is sad 😢 but they knew how he was. He should have been on some kind of kiddy leash.. like how many times is the boy going to get lost in the woods before they STOP taking him into the woods !?!? Like I don't get it
About the Sammy Boehlke case: As a parent knowing that my child has a limited understanding of the world, is still a minor, and had previously gotten lost in the woods: Why would I take him to the woods again??? He's like a little animal
I don't know that it would really be a bright idea to go all by one's lonesome on a hike, so when Broogli was talking about how there was no one else in Lyon's car, my immediate thought was "Maybe whoever he went with was in a different car?" But I'm not a hiker, so idk But then again... where'd THEY go, then?
yk, true because he was also 49 and i'm not saying 49 is ancient but i personally dont know anyone around that age who would hike alone even if they were a great hiker
Heyyy broogli, good video as always! 🔥 Just a suggestion, don't know if you are only doing american cases, but theres a portuguese one thats really weird and fascinating, the disappearence of Rui Pedro. Might deserve a look
I think Sammy is in that lake. It would be so easy for him to run and fall, to roll down the hill in his terror and crack his head at the base or go into shock from the cold water and be weighed down by his jacket. I think the father should be held as at fault, knowing this is something his son does and letting him get so far from him in the first place.
The only problem with that lake theory, is that Sammy ran up hill , and not down hill. Maybe he ran parallel to his dad, and then came back down and crossed over towards the other side?
@@Tough_Bookiezzz It's not that the kid wouldn't listen, his father obviously thought Sam would come down and go with him, and had obeyed in times past. Maybe he should have been more careful, but if we're talking responsibility this is more of a freak accident.
Since Morgan was in the canyon, he might’ve gone for a swim and went under the water, and a large rock might’ve fallen on him and crushed him or held him down.
Hey spoogli theres some other interesting missing people reports from my city in canada, Marshall Iwaasa is a big one you could do a video on. Or oerhaps look into the many teenage girls that go missing here, there's almost one every week at this point, Lethbridge Alberta canada there has been probably 12-15 missing teenage girls in the last year and a half, all the same age range and usually they are indigenous people. Just a video idea
Pretty much all evidence indicates that Charles committed suicide. Thats probably why they started the search for him so quick. He had likely made recent remarks and its not being disclosed because it's still active. And ive been to the grand canyon too. Three times actually. Its very busy but also very very big and there are many parts that arent frequently used by tourists but can be accessed if u know where to go. There are places to be alone in the grand canyon. Plus who goes to the grand canyon alone? Probably someone who isnt intending on making too many more positive memories. Its not a stretch at all to say he jumped, died, and his body has simply not been located yet. Predatory animals and scavengers are also prevalent
I remember reading a reddit post from a supposed ranger from a national park talking about random stair cases in the middle of the forest that he was instructed to never climb or even go near to them. This is probably just a fake post but its an interesting thought of why so many people go missing and what else could be in those woods that we aren't aware off. Seeing how experienced some of these people where, maybe curiosity killed the cat and they went some where or did some thing they weren't suppose too. Anyway love your vids , currently binge watching while baking cake and they are super entertaining >:D Hope to see more.
Honestly think morgan might have just wanted to disappear, he was a survivalist who could probably survive by hìmself, he could of set up a boat or way out and just left

You see the thing is if you look at the missing persons last seen spot map of the us it is shockingly different to the cave systems of the US....I wonder..

How many like killers n etc have lived in neighborhoods n shit and nobody had any idea who they really were until caught? Not to say either those 2 were serial killers or anything, but just that people can have some very well hidden parts of their lives. Man...a child disappearance hurts me. I am only 16 and I cant imagine my life ending now, and much less at 8 years old.
I feel the same way at 39.

Same
to add onto this, it would also be easy for him to get around. he knew his way around the park.

Appreciate that! Sometimes people throw in unnecessarily long details and explanations about a case just to puff up the video length, not a fan!
I have to agree, very engaging and easy to understand

You really think the father should be arrested for an accidental disappearance? That's so bogus.
His dad should’ve got him one of those little kid backpacks that have a leash on it since he knew his kid wouldn’t listen
