- While in France for the Tignes Airwaves event Gee, brother Dan and Richard Cunynghame went to hit up a jump from the snowboard comp. Gee was the first to go for it and this is what happened.
Is this back on recommended because Gee has massively injured himself again? That's cold algorithm, very cold.

A racers instinct is to pass so I think that Gee went faster than he meant to in his effort to get away from the clueless skier. I grew-up racing and I have a tendency to charge too hard and over-shoot big doubles. Anyway, this is an epic crash performed by an epic racer. Respect!
That bike just disintegrated! Glad he wasn't injured more seriously. Gee is a man who knows how to crash as spectacularly as he races!

If you read what I wrote - "WHEN Gee WAS riding for Giant" I know who he rides for. I know he was at Commencal at the time, I was simply enquiring as to why they would publish their rider on a giant bike, you'd think they'd have enough clips of him on a commencal.

Sorry, that is a pretty vauge statement.
I would say that having 8" of travel to do a jump like that is a hell of a lot safer. If you over clear it a bit, then you have the travel to fall back on. But if he had landed it properly, then the gradient of the transition would have been enough to allow him to do it on a DJ bike. A riders smoothness can only account for so much. You could never get through fort bill on a fully rigid any were near as fast as you gould on an 8" downhill rig.

@azattac ditch his bike? and what try running it out? He would have broken atleast an ankle or a leg maybe even hurt his back or pelvis up if he had ditched the bike. If he was gonna come up short then he should probably ditch the bike.
