As a man who is in their 50th decade of life I can tell you all of this is true. Looks are life. No looks, no life. I've been called ugly. Even my own mother called me ugly. Women have even been disgusted by me looking in their general direction. Obviously dating was never an option but aside from that I've been denied and fired from so many jobs despite holding a very strong STEM degree. People like me take the blame when things go wrong and then we're history. In a rare turn of luck a kind speech therapist took pity and diagnosed me with autism so I'm entitled to basic living support. My life is confined to a room now but at least I don't have to be around people. From there the natural progression was depression and alcohol abuse, and I'm feeling very tired these days. My liver is damaged and extreme fatigue is the sign of liver failure. I doubt I have long left but I'm so apathetic I hardly care. It's quite a nice feeling actually. Sorry I can't offer anything positive.
