The argument that trump was not an officer of the United States Government does not really hold any merit. Only an officer has the right to order all the top ranking officers to prepare for war. Only an officer has a right to implement the use of nuclear weapons by outranking all other military officers as well as militarily personnel. If the courts decide that a president does not hold the rank of officer in the American government, then all nuclear as well as any military decisions must be withdrawn from the now president asap. Only an officer can outrank another top ranking officer especially in the case of an emergency. As it will be left standing, if Ex President Trump is found to not to be deemed by the courts the overall officer commander in chief of all the defence forces, well then the next commander in line, has the rights to refuse an order when given as he or she is really the commander in chief . The president will only be classed a civilian with no military powers whatsoever. He’s either commanding officer of all the defence forces or he’s not. If not then all military powers must be withdrawn from the now standing president. I think it’s crazy myself that any person that has not served in the military can be given that power in the first place. Imagine Ted Cruz, MTG, Jim Jordan, Mike Johnson and so many more with that power.
