Her question sounds legit. She want to know the meaning of trauma or being traumatized. She asks How can she tell if someone is traumatized. You know trauma can be expressed in a person different ways. Do you know a traumatized person can feel numb by a shocking and extremely overwhelming situation, that she looks like she doesn't feel anything about the situation? Someone else could interpret such reaction as being insensitive, careless or without compassion.
So she want to know.
