Petra Jongbloed thank you my friend. We are taking it one day at a time. Just trying daily to rewatch and connect back with our specialist surgeon so that I may get personal clarification to questions I need to ask and receive answers to. Plus, the fact COVID-19 is still important but no one is hearing it, because of all the rioting, killing of innocent people, some caused by riots, fires, looting, etc. it’s very scary and getting so dangerous. I feel so saddened and so scared. 🙏🏻🙏🏻😭
I really love your work!. Just beautiful! I have a couple of questions and I would be very grateful if you could help. 1. I was wondering how you avoid the tiny air bubbles around the edges of the coasters… I don’t dare to use the torch as it could destroy the mold. And 2. how do you seal the gold around the edge. Do you put another coat of resin, or varnish??? Thank you!
Thank you so much for your nice compliment Blue Bird ❤ I appreciate it a lot. 😀 To prevent air bubbles has a lot to do with the kind of resin you are using. If you use a thinner resin then you don't have a lot of air bubbles. A thinner resin has a great air release. I also never use a torch. I always use a heat gun. I seal the gold with another layer of heat resistant resin.
@@petrajongbloed4425 thank you Petra. Very kind of you to give me this info! Very helpful for a beginner like me! 🌷and thank you for your amazing videos.
To get rid of air bubbles I use my embossing heat gun for the bubbles on the top of the resin. Then for the sides of the coasters, I use a silicone pointy tool, it doesn't mark the mold, but it's gentle enough to get rid of any bubbles that's round the edges. For the sides of the coasters, I've got a gold pen, but I've also used some clear varnish & my gold powder. They both are OK, I'm still learning how to do the edges, but I always practice on a resin piece that I'm not bothered about.
Petra love your video. Going to have a go for the first time. What is the alcohol you've added to the resin and colour you mentioned? And the gold paint? Thanks for any advice. Xx
Thank you so much for your nice compliment Michele ❤ I appreciate it a lot. 😀 I added 99% alcohol and I used Testors enamel gold paint. You can buy it on Amazon.

Thank you so much for your nice compliment Irina ❤ I appreciate it a lot. 😀 You can find all the website links of the materials I used in the description box below the video.
I love your videos! ❤️ What can I do if the bottom side is not as shiny as the surface? Sometimes the effect on the bottom side is more beautiful. Do you determine which side you take as the bottom side and then you color the edges appropriately? Does the bottom side (which is on the table) get scratches with time?
Thank you so much for your nice compliment Saida ❤ I appreciate it a lot. 😀 You can sand the bottom and add a clear layer of resin. My coasters can normaly be used on both sides. I color the edges, but also the bottom and top then the client can decide which side to use. I use scratch resistant resin and if you use them carefully they will not get scratches.
@@petrajongbloed4425 Dear Petra, thank you so much for your prompt response. But sanding the bottom side each time would take so much time. Do you really put a clear layer on each side? Could you please recommend a brand who sells fantastic molds for coasters and trays? I would really appreciate your recommendation! 🙏

Hello, Very elegant and nice!!! May I ask you question, I make coasters filling with pressed flowers, but I need to know if I make a second coat of resin after the first coat cured 24 hours or 72 hours? Am I still able to make several coats after completely cured? Keep nice work on!!!
Thank you so much for your nice compliment ❤ I appreciate it a lot. 😀 Yes, you can add more layers. . If you add them after 24 hours or when they are totaly cured, then you need to sand the surface and clean it with alcohol.

For the sides of the coasters, I've got a gold pen, but I've also used some clear varnish & my gold powder. They both are OK, I'm still learning how to do the edges, but I always practice on a resin piece that I'm not bothered about.
It’s very beautiful! I couldn’t find such liquid leaf anywhere! Where can i find this ?
Thank you so much for your nice compliment Balkees Jaluta ❤ I appreciate it a lot. 😀 You can buy the liquid leaf on Amazon.
Did you need to sand and polish your resin after curing ?
Hi Amy, yes I did sand the small sharp edge and added a thinn layer of polyurethane gloss varnish on top of it. I didn't polish.
Petra Jongbloed wonderful what good paint do you use ?
@@TheAmyhayley I'm using a gilding liquid for the edges.
How long are you waiting between adding next colour? Also do you use heat gun between each colour adding? Thanks
I do not wait in between pouring the colors. Yes, I do use the heatgun to remove air bubbles.
Dankjewel ! Wat gebruik je om de randen goud te maken?
Heel erg bedankt voor het kijken van mijn video Suzan. ❤ Ik waardeer het enorm. Ik gebruik de verguldingsverf van Resin Pro 😀
Wish I could purchase these
Thanks Lovely, they are for sale. 😀
May I ask you what’s the viscosity your resin is ? Thank you! ❤ gorges work 🎉
Do you need to seal the top or bottom with anything?
No, that is not necessary Denise.

The link of the Testors is in the description box, but I wil also include the link of the second one. www.gerstaecker.nl/Lefranc-Bourgeois-Guilding-Liquid-vloeibare-vergulding.html

@@petrajongbloed4425 thank u
do i have to make 1 layer before using that enamel paint?
Hi there
Thanks for the video, looks amazing.
I want to try and make it but I don’t know what are the material that I need.
Where do
I start?
@@saidalimam7201 Yes, if the client wants a heat resistant clear layer then I will add it. I know a website where you can buy high quality silicone molds. They ship worldwide. I will add the link to the website. If you use my promo code then you will get 5% discount. My promo code is JustPaint5 moldsandshapes.com/nl/
@@petrajongbloed4425 Thank you 🙏
LOVE THESE💜
Thank you so much for your nice compliment Pamela. I appreciate it a lot.
What kind of paint do you use for these pours? Acrylic mixed with a medium for pouring?
Hi Debbie, to make these coasters I used resin. To color the resin I used mica pigments, pigment paste and ink. You can find all the colors in the description box below the video. ❣😀
Hello,
Very elegant and nice!!!
@@petrajongbloed4425 Many thanks for your help.
