Looks like Houston was a cool place. There was nothing going on around Macomb, Il back then.
Wow. Old school. I was 8, almost 9 at this time. I don't remember the anchor. I do remember the sports guy and the weather guy, but only because they were around years later. The hand drawn temperatures, fronts, and such for the weather were wild. I don't remember these.
@kevingray8616 That news anchor, Larry Rasco, was in his final days as one of the primary anchors on Channel 2. He'd been there since the '60s. Bill Balleza would eventually move from Channel 11 to replace Rasco on 2. By the way, Bill Worrell retired two years ago after working the Rockets' TV broadcasts for almost four decades, along with a long career in Houston sports.
