How Sam Houston State University Serves Their Community as an HFB Partner

We had the opportunity to travel to Huntsville, TX and see the operations at ‪@SamHoustonState‬ Food Pantry. Under the direction of Dr. Kathleen Gilbert and operated by work-study students, Dietetic interns, and volunteers from the SHSU Food Pantry organization, SHSU Food Pantry supports students who experience food insecurity and encourages an educational understanding of food insecurity.
SHSU Food Pantry is a part of Houston Food Bank's 1,600+ partner network which works to serves our 18 county service area, and generous donations of time, food, and funds make the efforts of both Houston Food Bank and Sam Houston State's Food Pantry have a lasting impact.
