    I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my portfolio for retirement of about $750k. I want to know: Do I keep contributing to my portfolio in these unstable markets, or do I look into alternative sectors?

    • @HectorWhitney
      @HectorWhitney 27 дней назад +4

      Just try to diversify your portfolio to other market sectors, that way your investment is balanced and you don’t get to make so much losses.

      The market is not necessarily a rollercoaster if you know your way around the market, there are various opportunities in the present market to accrue good profit, If you are not too savvy with the market, just buy and hold on strong companies with good earnings, or consult with advisors on ETFs and actively managed funds. that’s what works for my spouse and I. We've made over 80% capital growth minus dividends.

    Agreed that many people are considering NVDA as the "Stock of the year." However, I'm curious about which stocks could potentially become the next META in terms of growth over the next decade. I've allocated $200k for investment, looking for companies to make additions to boost performance

      Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2019, and I return at least $121k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

    My dividend journey began when I realized that two particular expenses in my budget were always going to go up and never go down. The two expenses were taxes and insurance. I realized that the dramatic rise in both will need some added income. So, I started buying shares paying dividends. I can now see that this will be the path I need to take to make sure those two expenses will not overtake my future income.

    He really gave a non-answer about selling Apple stock. Don't think you can take his stated reasons seriously. Let's be clear -- there's 3 reasons Buffet sells a stock: 1. he thinks the stock is overvalued. 2. he thinks the company's fundamentals have eroded. 3. He has an even better investment opportunity. He has excluded the possibility of 3. So he either thinks the price is too high, or the business is facing longer term headwinds that aren't priced into the stock. Any other answer is just fluffery to try to protect the value of the rest of his position.

      Focus on long term investments in property, stocks, and bonds. Avoid copying, daytrading and 'chart astrology'. This is the best way to invest for more than 90% of people

    Hi Hamish,
    I love the comprehensive cover of Buffett especially as a fellow Buffett enthusiast living in Australia.
    One thing I also think has been over looked here, (correct me if I’ve missed it) is the fact that Buffett has also lost money in the positions he’s sold including the paramount holding you mentioned. It’s likely he’s is also offsetting the capital gains with the capital losses, meaning he’ll likely not pay that much tax on his gains and makes a perfect opportunity to reset his cash position and put it to great use when the stocks do go on sale.
    I think you’re on the money and Buffett is so large he can’t exit too much at once. I think he is waiting for the yield curve to un-invert.
    Buffett knows there is trouble ahead.

    Apple has priced themselves into a limited market scope and scale, and they have been moving in that direction for years now. This is nothing but a reflection of how some Apple investors see Apple not continuing the innovation and advancements as often as in the past. The tax avoidance issue is also key, given that capital gains is likely to increase.

    This is gonna be a crazy year for digital assets now with AWMKPX right? We already are set in for the bullrun anyway and if companies like them enter the field and make their own asset which will be integrated widely and used by the mass then we are on the bottom of the mountain with only one way which is upwards

    Buffet has always been a value investor. He believes, and perhaps rightly so, that Apple has reached its peak. Without Steve Jobs, the company no longer innovates. Tim Cook has done an excellent job milking every potential nickel of profit that can be made but let's face it, what has Apple brought to market of any significance in the past 5-10 years? The Apple car had great potential but that project was scrapped, wasting more than $10 billion in capital. What is left is an Iphone that is now costing around $1,500. How much higher can prices be raised before even the fanboys say, Screw this, it isn't worth it? Buffet is now sitting on a mountain of cash waiting for the market to crack. With stock prices at record highs, that might not be such a bad idea.

    In 2024 with the ETFs and halving and everything coming up the biggest change to everything will be AWMKPX hands down. They worked for years to get this done and needless to say how much impact will rise from that.

    There is no specific legal prohibition against Black organizations or individuals from investing in land in the United States. However, historical and systemic challenges have made it more difficult for Black communities to access capital and opportunities in the real estate market. Here's an overview of the issues and current state of Black investment in American land:/ america should fall because of this
