Just bought the 13t pro 16go 1To. Even if they look less detailed than flagship phones, the photos you show look more organic. That made me chose this mobile phone.

I just bought it I have problem with camera in cold weather out door. You can't believe how awful it is. Do you have this problem?
@@MashiDani i heard that some people have the same problem, it's the first thing i tried when i received it and i can tell you no. Today in paris it is frozen outside and i don't have this problem, i can take pictures and videos.
Some people have been able to stop this problem filming during 20-30 min in 4k to make the phone warm enough to remove the humidity inside the camera, i hope it will work with you. If you still have problem you should send it back to xiaomi. If that problem happen to me later, i will tell you. Good luck ;-) !!!

Hello, yes, I tried it both, but did not really see any dramatic difference - I believe both these options work mostly in background (even without turning them on)... So I would mostly to keep it in the default setting (Auto HDR and AI off)... Best, Jan

I see that the camera also has RAW mode ability which is a bonus and here in Ireland I can buy the 13T for €399.
I was trying to decide between the 13T, iPhone 13 and the Xiaomi redmi note 13 pro+ for about the same price. It is a tough choice between the 13T and used iPhone 13 in my budget range, the 13T might just be edging it at the moment as it is new and 5 year security updates until September 2028.
Hi and yes, you can use RAWs as well. Concerning the choice, well, it is tough... I use iPhones for many years and I really loved iPhone 13 Pro (now I am on 15 Pro), so you will not make a mistake if you go this way. But it you do not really care much about being a member of the clan of iPhone of Android, this Xiaomi would probably be a reasonable choice as well.. Jan
Very nice photos.. I understand that that this Xiaomi 13T doesn't have a Macro function so how did you take those pretty close up photos?
Hi, I am really glad you liked it! And you are right, there is no dedicated Macro function, so these photos were just taken with the zoom (if you mean flowers…)… Best, Jan
I have Samsung S23 Ultra in some situations I like 13T photos more, like in night scenes. Leica colors are so cute.

Just got this beast for myself! Can you help me get the best shots while catching the Moon on Night Shots? Used to get pretty close in my Xperia previously but cant get the same in Pro Mode using manual mode in 13T
Hi, frankly, capturing the Moon can really be tricky (meaning nearly impossible) since the phone simply has no advanced optical zoom capable of this... Sorry! Jan

I think it's a mix of authentic and vibrant 😅 even if i have mine i'm still not sure 😂
What color profile did you use for your photos? 'Authentic' or 'Vibrant'?
I was mostly using Vibrant, because it looked more authentic to me (really)...

mine got this issue after few minutes using the camera..dont know why..same with when im using camera for video recording..at first its ok, but after few minutes it become foggy
i had mi13T too but i was wondering why it's like i can't capture pictures like that, Its blurd when i zoom it , it's far from your taken photos.
Hi, generally you have to be careful when zooming and using digital zoom, then the quality really goes down very quickly...

Many thanks for the detailed review and the many, many pictures of the different lenses. I'm really impressed with the pictures but also with the colours that the Xiaomi captures. I really like the fact that the device lets shadows be shadows and prefers to allow a bit of highlight clipping instead of packing everything into an exaggerated HDR effect. Unfortunately, there is one thing that is missing in almost every review: I'm the father of two children and don't always have my DSLR camera with me, I usually have my smartphone instead. So far, only the Google Pixel with its software magic has reliably managed to capture my children in motion, especially at dusk or in indoor lighting. However, the Pixel doesn't offer many other "pro" functions and I'm probably one of the few people who don't like the distinctive "Pixel" look so much. Does the Xiaomi 13T have any options for capturing moving subjects properly in low light? Or does the hardware/software combination not manage to compensate for this? :)
Hi and thanks for the comment! And yes, capturing anything im movement is a mission which is not easy not only on mobile phones, but generally on any camera... To sum it up: for many reason, it it very hard to automate it (since it matters a lot how quick the movement is) so my honest advice is to try to play with shutter speed setting in the Pro mode. The key trick is to understand that to stop any movement, you have to find an optimal shutter speed (say, 1/200 for stoping a child slowly walking to 1/1000 to stop a horse running). The cost of doing this is so called noise - shorter time you set, higher the ISO gets (and the quality of the picture goes down)... It is much easier than it sounds... And it is definitely worth doing... Best, Jan

Good to know that these options are available in Pro mode. That could save a lot. Unfortunately, I read in the DXOMark review that the device has a relatively high shutter delay of 200 to 300 ms. Even the low shutter speed isn't much use if you miss the moment. I'll have to pass on the Xiaomi with Leica this year. Maybe the Xiaomi 14 will do a better job. 🙂

Hi, well, it is hard to say - really depends on what you want to shoot... My bet would be on 13T, but there would be situations when iPhone 11 might give you more balanced (realistic) photos. (I had iPhone 11 Pro for some time)... Jan
13T Pro here. Sadly, i could have bought the slightly inferior 13T, it was a bargain price - but now i am settled with that Xiaomi, for the next 3-4 years, which is good enough. I don't buy a new phone every 12-24 months, my Redmi Note 9 Pro is >4 years old, bought into spring 2020. But anyway, it would being interesting to see - what the 14T Pro would bring to the table during this fall. From 1:1 comparsions with the exact same camera setup, the Pro does have better IQ, and slightly more contrast. But the 13T would have been also a fine upgrade from my old 9 Pro, for sure.

I am a camera guy. And both the phones are around similar price in my country. 13T has better display, good charging speed and backup. On the contrary, I love Pixels.

one of my colleague said; 13T is not a point & shoot yet, but maybe in the future after software update. But A54 yes it is, since it released earlier, the software is more mature, but in some lightning situation you still need to adjust exposure for A54

I'm trying to decide between the Xiaomi 13T and the Pixel 7 as well! From my research, Pixel 7 photos tend to look a bit sharper and I like the colors better. But the Xiaomi cameras are very respectable, and it seems to be the overall better phone...

@@jan-rybar Xiaomi phones struggle with front cam a bit. And also there's a large audience that uses front cam alot including me so it would be nice to see the results 👍
a práve pre nie plynulý, ale sekaný pohyb 4K videa, som kúpil výkonnejší 13T Pro. Tam už procesor stíha a 4k video pri 60fps je plynulé a bez akýchkoľvek zásekov pri pohybe do strán. Takže PRO verzia produkuje ozaj parádne videá, má o trochu lepšiu výdrž, fotografie neviem ako laik úplne porovnať, ale režim 50Mpix má ozaj krásne detaily a dá sa použiť aj orez fotky, pretože je aj po priblížení dosť kvalitná a ostrá.
Veľmi vydarená séria telefónov. Pri terajšej cene PRO verzie už pod 600€, je to už fakt slušný pomer ceny a výkonu.
Aha, díky, to je velmi zajímavá informace, která odpovídá na onu záhadu, v čem vlastně je PRO lepší, když parametry jsou na papíře u foťáků vlastně stejné... Já video systematicky netestuji, tedy tohle neumím zodpovědně poznat... Zdravím, JR
@@jan-rybar rozdiel je vo výkonnejšom procesore a v rýchlom úložisku typu 4.0 ktoré dokáže ten obrovský dátový tok pri nahrávaní 4k 60fps, zapisovať bez váhania.
Ak sa nemýlim, tak klasická 13T nemá v menu fotoaparátu ani 8k video a možno ani 4k 60fps, ale len 4k 30fps. Ale to nemám ako overiť, či som niekde dobre čítal.

12 Mpx is enough fot 99 % of all shots...
Lol. I waiting my dad's xiaomi 13T order arrival. Then, make comparison with my oppo find x7 ultra to find out whether oppo is worth to buy. At moment, oppo is quite battery consuming when using camera.

Well, not always, but in situations like this (a people in a tram) I think it is just not polite to show their face... And generally, I am trying to avoid showing people you can recognise - just as a matter of privacy... Jan

A huge disappointment. The photos on my 13T look awful. I returned otherwise decent phone due its very poor camera. I don't expect much from xaomi camera but for 500€ this is a scam...

Of course, you cannot expect the same results like from flagships, say iPhone 15 or Samsung S24 Ultra, but it really gives very good results for the midrange level...
