La Plata Rail Days 2023 -- eastbound Z train accelerates past us, shortly before Amtrak's arrival

Taken during the "unofficial" La Plata (MO) Rail Days on June 24th, here is an eastbound Z train, a highest-priority intermodal, accelerating past us after being stopped around the corner beyond the dual crossovers between the two lines.
Amtrak train #3 arrived about 5 minutes after this, and is the next video in the playlist.

Piggyback trailers -- UPS and FedEx -- are the gold standard for identifying what BNSF RR calls "Z trains." They are the highest-priority trains on the line, excepting Amtrak.
