Did you ever come to Greece while you were living in Bulgaria? Im from Thessaloniki and I know that it's not that long of a road between Northern Greece ( Macedonia, West Thrace ) and Southern Bulgaria. I actually know many people that travel there for shopping or for skiing at Bansko. :)

I grew up speaking Bulgarian, learned English when I moved to America and I studied Spanish for years - I need to practice my Spanish though!
