i like how you understood the movie at 1st watch. When u saw Gretchen pull up on her bike and u muttered “they never met”. i knew u understood the main story. A guy loves a girl so much he goes back in time to give his life to save hers.
@@jcravatt1 it’s definitely a bit deeper than that, it’s one of the most philosophical movies ever made, but with that said I do believe the death of Gretchen is certainly the moment that makes up Donnie’s mind and makes him realize what he had to do, making the end where she replies “no” to did you know him, ever so heartbreaking.
The movie is anything but straight forward, it takes a few times to watch it and when you know the end you will pick up a lot you didn't the first time.
Kitty Farmer ("Karen") is played by Beth Grant, one of the greatest character actors in history! She literally has hundreds of credits to her name. She is best known for playing overzealous, uptight, conservative characters and she does it so well!
"It just looked really cool... The eye glowing like that..." That's actually a bit of foreshadowing!! Donnie sees Frank as he is AFTER he shoots him. The shining eye is the ONE DONNIE SHOOTS OUT AFTER HE RUNS OVER HIS GIRLFRIEND!!
@@MissedFlicks No problem! The entire movie is a COMPLETE MINDFUCK! So it helps if someone explains some of the finer details. It's a movie you can literally watch 10 times and still figure new things out... LOL
you get time dilation below the speed of light, i have seen a theory that if you could get above light speed you would be outside causality and backwards time travel would be possible. as to how true that is i don't think anyone knows
27:35 - Drew Barrymore was an Executive Producer on this film. She pushed for EVERY cast member and EVERY song that they used.

I haven’t yet delved into this reaction but I am STOKED. This is one of my favorites! I hope you appreciate it as well!
