I usually don't like covers of music from my time - I define my time as the years between the ages of 15-25 - but this was actually a great cover of one of my all-time favorite songs from those years. Props to this band for a job well done!
A good cover indeed. The text is rather different - the German version is about yearning for a beloved the singer does not know yet ("Wenn der Mond die Sonne berührt" > "When the moon touches the sky"). The English version seems to be about a triangular relationship. The latter reminds of of my own life. :o
have you listened to much A-ha? quite a lot of their stuff is a bit like this and Morton Harkett is an amazing singer. Try the songs Butterfly Butterfly,I've Been Losing You, Hunting High and Low, Train of Thought, they did much more than their big hit "take on me" if you like Iris you might like A-ha too :)
