One thing I noticed as a new picker watching these videos, many lockpickers fidget excessively which is probably why lockpicking is suitable. The hands are just going, going, going while talking .Not criticizing, just an observation. :) Thank you for this video. I am ordering this set today.
@@Dmaclocksport yes. I started with only wiper style. When I got my hands on these (as well as some TOK) I was instantly picking locks I was finding more difficult at the time. I’ve been watching some of your older picking videos.. you are an animal. Thanks for posting.
@@Dmaclocksport oh nice man, I was going to go for the covert companion but after speaking to Robert in DM he talked me out of it and told me to go for the eshelon at half the price doing ci out of money so fair play to them for that
Nice review! I love this set! Ive picked my way up into purple belt locks with this set so far! I do prefer the ergo turners from ci for tok though. Nerve problems in my hands make using the z bar for tok in hand difficult. But i love them for bok!
WHY didn't they make the opposite side a few mm deeper so you can fit additional picks in as opposed to just a card/shim?!? Thanks for the review, I have yet to try any CI picks yet myself apart from the Covert Companion (which I had to use today at work as it happens 😀). I'm guessing they're en par with Multipick regarding quality etc...?
Sweet review D 😎 as beginner's kits go that Anit a bad place to start 😁 personally I'd recommend the southord c801 over that kit 😁 but great review mate I wondered what they were like
I wish they sold both sets together as one. buying both and having the extra case is kind of a waste but not a huge deal. I dont care for the turning tools in TOK and they are just average in BOK. honestly just buy the Eshelon, and add the two 0.025 hooks from the Genesis set and you are good. also I JUST bought the genesis set less than a month ago and mine didnt have the .025 etched in.
Cool. The items included make me think of the Sparrows Spirit set. Would you say that CI picks are stronger than Sparrows? I have the Spirit set and I find them a little flimsy at times. Cheers for the review man. :)
Tip: If things are falling off of your desk, then flip the desk over. Nothings falls upward, so it shouldn't fall over.
🫡 perfectly logical, thanks 🤣

@@hiker64 it's a good set, enjoy! I've always had very expressive hands! 😄
I love my CI Genesis. Very nice quality and great looking picks. They also use very good metal as well.
Yep, I have to agree. They're nice picks 👍🏻
Nice review. This really is a quality well priced beginner set. I love that they etched your logo on the handle.
Me too! 😍 Aside from that, it is a solid beginner set imho 😎👍🏻
Nice review and a good honest look at these picks from Covert Instruments.
Cheers Roy, it's a very nice pick set 😎👍🏻
Definitely a nice set. I also bought the echelon set as well.
The tension tools in this set is my favorite. I had to go back and buy more.
They are good tensioners, especially for a starter set 👍🏻

I've just bought the eshelon and should get it in about 10 days. Looking forward to trying it out
To be honest, that set is a solid choice. I have that set too and a review is incoming 😎👍🏻

@@AJlocksandlocks good choice mate. The covert companion is a good bypass tool but not a great picking tool
Watched the video. Having some decent TOK and BOK seems OK for 2 hooks and 2 Christina Palmer rakes, for a beginner set
It's a well balanced set for a beginner imho 👍🏻

I put all my bok and tok turners on that side. Fit snug, magnet helps keep them from falling out. All picks, rakes, and a Bogota Set for the front.
@@SeeStuDo That makes sense 😀 💜
I'd say they are good quality picks and up there with the best of them. For a starter kit, it's perfect.
He wasn't criticizing the picks he was critiquing the pouch.
Thank you for the lesson, bruv!
😁👍🏻
Another question! You mention the width of the picks, 0.025 - what's a good size for picking Euros? Cheers. :)
@@Feenix102 my go to is 0.019 for most picking 😎👍🏻
@@Dmaclocksport Cheers. :)
Excellent review as ever. Great price point. I might consider using in place of a wallet 🤔 👍
Cheers mate. Yeah, not a bad Idea 😁👍🏻
Probably shouldn't do that if you use credit or debit cards. There are magnets in the case that could interfere with your card.
Unless you put on some kind of pouch that stop the magnets from reaching the card, I'm not sure you will have enough luck there bud.

This set is much better quality than sparrows tools. Nothing is indestructible but these are strong.
@@Downfal1 Cool. A supplementary question. The monkey's paw - cheating or not? ;)
@@Feenix102 I love the monkey paw (esp' for 1100s) not cheating at all
@@Dmaclocksport I love it too. :) Cheers, man.
@@Feenix102 not cheating at all. A lot of people really like the monkey paw. It can be very helpful getting your pick centered on the pins.
GET IT!
Is it worth it to buy Genesis with echlon ?
I'd say yes. That gives you doubles of the genesis profiles but you'll have 2 different thicknesses. Plus many tensioning options
Please where exactly get those opener
Its urgent
The link is in the description as always
So you're saying these are cheap Chinese so do you have any non-chinese expensive set did you recommend

CI makes great products but as far as cases go nobody has done a better one than the sparrows tuxedo case. IMHO
