This game is the physical reason why I don't want Dante or Vergil in smash. This game was able to capture them in all of their glory while keeping the 2d fighter playstlye. I love smash but there's no way to add one of them with out making them overpowered or nerfed to shit. Just look at Bayonetta

This is one of my biggest worries when it comes to people requesting characters for Smash tbh. Smash, while one of the biggest crossovers, isn't one of the best when it comes to certain moveset representations. They do a decent job, but when stacked up against other crossover games, some playstyles do not translate well into Smash.

Add Nero, 90% of his moves would work pretty well.
I'd be happy for Dante or Vergil in smash, but again actually nailing their movesets or having one without the other would feel pretty off to me, not to mention picking which iteration of Dante to use as the base for moveset, similar devil arm movesets being pretty much interchangeable, but when it comes to ones like Nevan, Agni and Rudra, etc it'd be pretty cool but jarring to see DMC4 or 5 Dante just STYLIN' on people with weapons they don't have anymore.
that said smash dont care about canon or continuity 75% of the time
TLDR dumbstuff below.
Nero would work pretty well since Trailer wise, it'd be pretty funny (And honestly painful) If Dante also got added in as an Assist trophy.
It starts off like normal, Nero showing up to see Dante fighting in the Qliphoth, talking about how he doesn't know why he's here, tricking the viewers for a bit before Dante goes down assist trophy style, Nero steps in, announcing how he's gonna be the one to ''Bag 'Em'' before cutting to his trailer and showing his moveset, all that jazz.
Nero ends up going down himself, Dante calling him dead weight before Nero gets his Final Smash active, followed by him initiating it by him popping his Devil Trigger, the shockwave knocking enemies airborne before he just hits them with a combo while the Stylish Meter fills up as pure 'Aesthetic' before ending with a 'SMOKING SICK STYLE' around the time he just finishes it with Showdown.
Moveset wise, I think Nero has everything he would need, As a Special Input he could charge exceed, which would alter some of his moves, along with the input time, like how Ken and Ryu have Heavy and Light inputs.
High Roller would basically just be his up smash, but if you tapped B during the charge he'd Rev up Red Queen, changing the animation length and power of the move, just quick inputting/Not charging would have it be the grounded variant, while charging it would have Nero jump with the attack.
Dash attack could be Rainbow, Down Smash would probably be a standard double-swing, or round swing aimed at the feet, Forward Smash could be Hard Way, Down Air would either be Split (Meteor Effect, only enemies in front get knocked away on landing) or Double Down (If Exceeded)
Everything lines up p well, though if trying to avoid spoilers it'd be a bit of a pain, but overall Snatch working as a Tether grab would be pretty cool IMO, If Capcom was getting another rep I'd definitely be down for it.

If we're lucky enough to get a new Marvel game in the next 2-3 years, I promise to go back to the original 2011 content. Breakdowns, tutorials, combo videos and plenty of ranked matches. Maybe even with commentary this time.

The combos in UMVC3 are SO GOOD it is just beyond amazing LOL.
This game is still fantastic to this day. I miss watching amazing players play this game and the crowd gets so excited seeing something epic happening. I hope it gets brought back for tournaments again someday.

Gotta say, loving the hard nostalgia of this game, but shit dude, hated a good handful of these characters (especially facing them). That said, I don't think I could put this game down. It's become a gem in it's own right despite it's flaws. Well done good sir, I tip my hat off to you.

What UMvC3 did was unprecedented. Zero developer support. No pro tour. Absolutely NO DLC. Despite all those insane shortcomings, it managed to survive another 6-7 years with some of the hypest tournaments and money matches the fgc has ever seen.
Just imagine what a MvC4 with all of the above would look like!!!
