Cat Cab Options Bring Choice of Joystick or Traditional Motor Grader Controls

- Caterpillar will offer two cab options for its new 120 and 140 motor graders, each optimized to either joystick or lever-mounted controls. The new cabs include design changes both large and small to improve operator comfort, ease of operation and visibility around the machine.
Only real change cat did that i ever wanted was seeing the end of the mold board better when its angled, as far as joy stick once you learn it you will never want a steering wheel. Joy sticks are way more proficient and you never get behind with anything, can't even imagine a grader with steering wheel and levers anymore, been there done that and its old school. Volvo goes both ways i never use the wheel it gets you behind by letting go to use the joy sticks. Cats design is way ahead of the competition in so many ways.

I never ran a grader all those controls seem intimidating Lol. You guys who have operated joystick version graders are there just two joysticks? Wish we could've seen in that cab
Brian 3 yes, there a two joysticks. But they are quite different than your standard loader or excavator joysticks. They can twist also and has way more functions per joystick.

Is there an option for a steering wheel with the joystick controls?
Pretty sure there's not. It's either joysticks or steering wheel and levers.
Slow learners. Deere still has more options, yet for the die hard cat fans the old style opens up the market for those operators. I like both.

ill stick to the joy sticks! I know the old boys are excited for all the levers. but to me joy sticks are the only way
