2 more things i recommend: Suggest a lane swap with ally mm when conditions are met; game time is 5mins or above, mm have destroyed the enemies turret in their lane, and if you still have the 1st turret in your lane. Try to clear the opposite lane of the lord ideally around 30 seconds before it spawns ang go back immediately to lord. This will force the enemy team to have -1 hero in lord team-fight cuz they are now forced to clear.

another tip for gold/exp laners! keep an eye on the enemy mid laner and jungler to see where they start. If your team is ganking the opposite lane, its most likely that the enemy's core might be coming to you so keep an eye out to see if the enemy in your lane is trying to bait you into fighting. Also, if the opposing laner is a strong early type, avoid getting baited by them taking the crab. 9/10 times this is used only to bait the opponent.
As a roamer who prioritizes objectives, nothing pisses me off more than a gold laner who keeps going out of their tower while we’re ganking the opposite side without enemy jungler. 90% of the time they’re in the gold, and the mm gets killed. Always play safe as an mm when teammates aren’t around. Abandon tower if it’s a 1vs4 or 1vs3

One of the most comprehensive and easiest to understand the role of Exp Laner for beginners. Most of the time they are really the playmaker and game changer. Advanced exp laner guide should be about switching lanes, counterbuild/respect items and fitting each heroes to their true role (frontliner, backline destroyer, poke/harasser, etc). Great content!

I only join the teamfight if the team is near my lane or are durable enough to protect me. If your teammates blame you for your idleness during teamfights, don't listen. Just focus on what you are doing and win the game. Loudmouths don't contribute much for your team at all.

No doubt Molten Essence/Cursed Helmet helps with their lack of wave clear tools. But they're still pretty slow in that aspect compared with other types of EXP Laners, especially when you try to clear super minions.
Another thing to keep note is lv2 timing of exp. If you clear your first wave faster than your enemy, you'll obtain lv 2 faster and have 2 spells instead of one. This is an instant trade win since 2 skills are better than one. So if your enemy hasnt cleared all creeps and you have, immediately go on them and trade as much as possible
yeah except the one skill of opposite exper worth more than two of the one who speedruns minions (for example dyroth vs lapu or xborg), or he can freeze minions right before t1 for that, so many good players prefer to work against the enemy's face ignoring minions, only finishing them off
IMHO this is the most helpful channel on getting better at ML:BB, super in-depth and helpful, great for newbies and good reminders for returning veteran players.
Our Team/Squad just reshuffled new players, since I was their team's Jungler before our newly recruit player is a Jungler main so I gave that role to him and I switch to a new role which is the EXP Laner. To be honest I'm less experienced at playing EXP Lane but still we discovered that me and my new teammates has a good chemistry in game that's why I came here in your video to increase my insights on how to play EXP Lane. We played a lot of Ranked Matches earlier and got a winstreak because of good teamplay hoping for us engaging in more games such as 5 man ranked games, scrimmages or even tournaments. And of course thanks to you too I learned a lot from your video and I was hoping that I could apply this for our upcoming games and practices, more power to you. ❤
Tip: if the turtle is on your side of the lane pls help the jungler same for the gold laner. Also if your hero has high mobility and you see the enemies not close to you on the map just cut the wave, this will give you the chance to rotate and help your team in fights also before you rotate make sure you clear your lane so the enemy can't push your tower and you dont miss any exp

I also think it's important to note that just because heroes are meta rn, doesn't mean you should always pick them. Always play the heroes you are good at, just because your hero isn't meta doesn't mean you can't pick them
Guys try to learn about all the interactions your main heroes have against the meta exp laners atleast. This is the most important thing for an exp laner because not knowing if you are stronger/weaker than the enemy exp laner means you'll either play over aggressive against stronger enemy or too safe against weaker enemy which wastes the the free advantage you get from matchup You can't do most of the things mentioned in this video if you're behind in farm because you played too aggressive and got punished(which happens to most exp laners i see including me) Great buide btw def one of the best exp lane guides
As a 37 star mythic exp lane player, that a good video that explain our job, but on exp lane have also to practice a lot, even using the same hero can have different on strengh, strategies and techiniques of pro can let them easily win on solo fight and then always farm more than u. As an exemple, i played on my second account zilong on the grandmaster rank, i started the game versus two enemys, zilong and moskov, it was very hard as begining, but even if im not a pro zilong player, only with a old exp lane player techniques and experience, i killed them both under tower at 2 minute, and then grow my advantage until i could kill them both out of my tower at 4minute, and i continue...i finish the game with 28kills 1 death, 2 maniac, the whole theam kills adding mine is 34, well when u know what to do, how to do,and when to do on exp lane, the game will be lot easier
Benedetta is definitely one of the best exp. She is very mobile and can adapt to many situation, she has early damage which is great for invation or dominating her lane. And if the late game situation becomes difficult she can clear the lane in less than 2s, she deals high damage to minions which makes her the best lane cutter, and her skill is perfect to escape gangs. in team fight she can dash to the enemy back line or help if all the enemies are gathered together. She can jgl if you lack a jgl, she is pretty decent at it .her only problem is to main her properly. She is one of the hardest hero to control after fanny, and ling in an other words she is a user type hero, she is eather very good as she can switch from full dmg to semi tank or very useless

I haven't really tried the post-revamp Joy yet, so I can't really give a solid opinion in terms of her meta-ness. IMO, I would probably like the previous version better tho.

As Exp laner myself Always try to bait out CC skills with tanky build rather than sacrificing Tanks CC skills in your own team to safeguard Example When i play as Thamuz or Triezla with vengeance i usually dive into tower or against Johnson. That way i also survive and and escape giving chances to my ADC. And it also helps in on teamfights because in that way your tank don't have to sacrifice their reaction time to cast Ults and CC skills. This can lead to good trade.
I completely agree with you on the damage exp especially as an argus main myself it is difficult in higher ranks and even thought argus is my main hero he is not always reliable But i mainly like him cuz of his ult which can soak up most damage and cc for your team or u can damage your enemies if they dont mark you So its basically a 50/50 And backdooring is very fun with him cuz of his ult🤣💪
I agree. She has 2 cc skills with very low cooldown. Her passive is great. The enemy uses all his skills on edith then you press ult to surprise them. She has 2 characters at 1 hero :D
Her ultimate form is now useless when fighting new Masha, especially if Masha managed to gain DHS and Golden Staff 😂 she's literally just sitting duck while Masha gnaws at her. The only way to counter this is baiting Masha to a teamfight.
I usually walk with my minions on 1st wave cuz that's what you need to do against singed in LOL, instead of hiding in brush for 2 reasons. First, it allows you to contest the enemy even if you're weaker lvl1 as the minions are a great help and even if the minions aren't enough you're ensured to keep them in the lane to stop them from roaming/attempt future proxies by hitting their hp significatively, if they trade back heavily, at least you're in a rather even spot and its harder for them to roam. If you wait in bush but you're weaker it's risky because you don't even have minion advantage. I might be wrong though feel free to correct me. I think the brush can also help cover early invades as well, but personally I woud prioritize my own lane before jungle. Other than that I actually learned quite a bit thank you.

Nice guide tho I have to tweak the meta heroes you mention especially this update. Guinevere- because of her instant stun, she becomes popular pick and could change the flow of a match by right jump. Ruby-has slow and 2 ccs. Plus she is durable with her spell vamp. Dyroth- with his burst skills, he can take down anyone unless he is gank up. Alice-Considering the latest update, she become more annoying
I have been using terizla and my games are going great I can handle 1v2 unless a mm shows up which one did and was a lot of pain to deal with ranged attacks , I am thinking about buying other heroes for exp thinking about x-Borg
I have been using silvinna exp for past 25 games all went well also silvinna second skill has high damage so cutting lans is easy most of the game I did 2v1 in exp but with vengeance and second skill in hand it's ezz to win 1v2....
As a exp laner, I’d say your main goals are: Early game: get level 4, help with turtle and protect your tower. Mid game: you should have at least 2 full items and boots, help your team in ganks and fights. Late game: provide vision, protect your team, distract enemy heroes and DONT GO SOLO SEARCHING FOR KILLS your team needs you.
Its also very important to look for opportunities where u can assasinate their mm or mage, esp if u are someone like chou, zilong or yin. These heroes cant zone but can kill and get out
@@darknessinc.Inc830 If you're fighting fighting against Eudora, Ixia, Moskov, Aurora, Vexana, and Valir, there's high chance you will get CC'ed when trying to kill them in a 1v3 situation. Find a way to separate the damage dealers from the main force by luring them to the bot minions and immediately assassinate them when given the chance. That's how I won my games. When there's no ADC in the enemy team, its an easy game. However if your ADC is an amateur that is easily eliminated, you lose. If you don't want to lose to a team without an ADC, become the MVP ADC.
Im an Exp laner, and i always use X.Borg to poke my enemies, after my cleaning lane i sometime come to jungle to harrass the enemy jungler or just bullying my enemy exp laner, and at late game i turned into semi-tank X.Borg or full damage, it depends on the situation in game.
since i play 6k as exp or fighter role the one key to play is keep ur lane and when the turtle is close to ur lane u should help on team fight or bring the 1st blood to increase the teams morale
Are there any long ranged heroes that can do decently in EXP? Because at times I've had to go exp lane with Floryn or Rafaela and they do quite good? Were they just flukes or can ranged exp laners become viable?
Valentina is a good ranged exp laner since she has decent sustain and dmg but it's still recommended u use a close range sustain exp laner since ur the one who will most likely initiate fights
Most long range heroes can do well in EXP during the early game, since they have the range advantage during that stage. The only problem is if you pick carry heroes in both EXP and Gold since that makes your team composition highly unbalanced. In the late game, you may find that your team lack initiation and frontline tools.
Im playing for 4 years exp main ihave 8000 matches for exp heroes 1448 highest points is my highest rank i rarely see baxia akai and belerick in exp lane what you said is correct they have a good utility skill for team figths but they are slow on clearing minionwaves that was crucial in mid to late game
There is actually another type of explaner, it is called the crazy splitpusher examples are like zilong sprint - sun arrival - fanny attackspeed build - etc😂 I love when people get creative
If you play hybrid that is a hard hitter like terizla, I suggest being aggressive and try to force your enemy go back to their turret and not attack any minons so they get the lowest gold or exp as possible
As an experienced EXP laner playing the game for almost 5 years, I highly commend the depth of concepts and foundations of being a good offlaner. However, I might suggest another aspect of the game which is general hero-match up. A very detrimental concept for good offlaners to know about.
i m a badang main and i counter badang's low health by doing stun. For his ult u can escape it when it is about to end, to counter this i don"t use his ult to the fullest and end it while the opponent is stunned and keep stunning the opponent with m1s or the first skill I also use terizla and i like him as a damage type because his second skill can kill the opponent (not tanks or hybrids) in early game

My biggest problem with EXP Laners is that the walking speed is too slow. Now that many Mages and Marksman have high mobility in early game, they become harder to catch. Sometimes if my team's Jungler is invaded, if the invaded place is close to the EXP Lane, I can go there. But almost every time I go there the teamfight ends. How can I go to support my teammates quickly?
Sometimes it's difficult, but you can also improve on map awareness and anticipate if the enemy is going to invade. Sometimes, moving early towards certain areas, just-in-case, will help you get to places that you need to go faster.
One thing I don't know is lanes and what you should be doing tbh. I just move forward and apply a lot of pressure that usually sends everyone towards me and trying to push me back as I move forward and continue to keep the pressure up. Then teammates either have an open lane or join me in mine.
For a moment being the exp laner sounds like being a night guard at an establishment and the only fun is someone might rob the place otherwise you have to make sure everything is in order or clean
thank you for this video! i’m a mage main, and whenever i have to adjust as the exp laner, i have no idea what i’m doing! i’m not comfortable with playing close-ranged heroes, so i tend to pick guinevere or silvanna, as they deal magic damage and can easily escape. even then, i still wait for tanks to initiate the team fight because i’m stuck with the mentality of staying in the back line. also, if anyone sees this, are masha and thamuz efficient exp laners? i have their epic skins, so i wanna to put them to use. or any unconventional exp laners!
Masha and Thamuz can be pretty good. I'm not too sure about Masha as she's just been changed tho. However, I still think the likes of YZ Terizla are still a tier above these 2 heroes because they have CC.

yeah except the one skill of opposite exper worth more than two of the one who speedruns minions (for example dyroth vs lapu or xborg), or he can freeze minions right before t1 for that, so many good players prefer to work against the enemy's face ignoring minions, only finishing them off

Our Team/Squad just reshuffled new players, since I was their team's Jungler before our newly recruit player is a Jungler main so I gave that role to him and I switch to a new role which is the EXP Laner. To be honest I'm less experienced at playing EXP Lane but still we discovered that me and my new teammates has a good chemistry in game that's why I came here in your video to increase my insights on how to play EXP Lane. We played a lot of Ranked Matches earlier and got a winstreak because of good teamplay hoping for us engaging in more games such as 5 man ranked games, scrimmages or even tournaments. And of course thanks to you too I learned a lot from your video and I was hoping that I could apply this for our upcoming games and practices, more power to you. ❤
Tip: if the turtle is on your side of the lane pls help the jungler same for the gold laner. Also if your hero has high mobility and you see the enemies not close to you on the map just cut the wave, this will give you the chance to rotate and help your team in fights also before you rotate make sure you clear your lane so the enemy can't push your tower and you dont miss any exp

I also think it's important to note that just because heroes are meta rn, doesn't mean you should always pick them. Always play the heroes you are good at, just because your hero isn't meta doesn't mean you can't pick them

Guys try to learn about all the interactions your main heroes have against the meta exp laners atleast. This is the most important thing for an exp laner because not knowing if you are stronger/weaker than the enemy exp laner means you'll either play over aggressive against stronger enemy or too safe against weaker enemy which wastes the the free advantage you get from matchup
You can't do most of the things mentioned in this video if you're behind in farm because you played too aggressive and got punished(which happens to most exp laners i see including me)

As a 37 star mythic exp lane player, that a good video that explain our job, but on exp lane have also to practice a lot, even using the same hero can have different on strengh, strategies and techiniques of pro can let them easily win on solo fight and then always farm more than u. As an exemple, i played on my second account zilong on the grandmaster rank, i started the game versus two enemys, zilong and moskov, it was very hard as begining, but even if im not a pro zilong player, only with a old exp lane player techniques and experience, i killed them both under tower at 2 minute, and then grow my advantage until i could kill them both out of my tower at 4minute, and i continue...i finish the game with 28kills 1 death, 2 maniac, the whole theam kills adding mine is 34, well when u know what to do, how to do,and when to do on exp lane, the game will be lot easier
Great guide for those new to playing as an exp laner. Most of those I got from experience. Its my fav role ingame
Benedetta is definitely one of the best exp. She is very mobile and can adapt to many situation, she has early damage which is great for invation or dominating her lane. And if the late game situation becomes difficult she can clear the lane in less than 2s, she deals high damage to minions which makes her the best lane cutter, and her skill is perfect to escape gangs. in team fight she can dash to the enemy back line or help if all the enemies are gathered together. She can jgl if you lack a jgl, she is pretty decent at it .her only problem is to main her properly. She is one of the hardest hero to control after fanny, and ling in an other words she is a user type hero, she is eather very good as she can switch from full dmg to semi tank or very useless
Benedetta have sh1tty laning peformance to most immortal exp hero so she jut cut lanes and press mid

Not the one you asked but for me Joy is better now since u can gets ur dashes from creeps or minions then just dive the enemies without the risk of stun(except suppress of course)

I haven't really tried the post-revamp Joy yet, so I can't really give a solid opinion in terms of her meta-ness. IMO, I would probably like the previous version better tho.

Always try to bait out CC skills with tanky build rather than sacrificing Tanks CC skills in your own team to safeguard
Example
When i play as Thamuz or Triezla with vengeance i usually dive into tower or against Johnson. That way i also survive and and escape giving chances to my ADC. And it also helps in on teamfights because in that way your tank don't have to sacrifice their reaction time to cast Ults and CC skills. This can lead to good trade.

I completely agree with you on the damage exp especially as an argus main myself it is difficult in higher ranks and even thought argus is my main hero he is not always reliable
But i mainly like him cuz of his ult which can soak up most damage and cc for your team or u can damage your enemies if they dont mark you
So its basically a 50/50
And backdooring is very fun with him cuz of his ult🤣💪

I agree. She has 2 cc skills with very low cooldown. Her passive is great. The enemy uses all his skills on edith then you press ult to surprise them. She has 2 characters at 1 hero :D

Her ultimate form is now useless when fighting new Masha, especially if Masha managed to gain DHS and Golden Staff 😂 she's literally just sitting duck while Masha gnaws at her. The only way to counter this is baiting Masha to a teamfight.

I usually walk with my minions on 1st wave cuz that's what you need to do against singed in LOL, instead of hiding in brush for 2 reasons. First, it allows you to contest the enemy even if you're weaker lvl1 as the minions are a great help and even if the minions aren't enough you're ensured to keep them in the lane to stop them from roaming/attempt future proxies by hitting their hp significatively, if they trade back heavily, at least you're in a rather even spot and its harder for them to roam. If you wait in bush but you're weaker it's risky because you don't even have minion advantage. I might be wrong though feel free to correct me. I think the brush can also help cover early invades as well, but personally I woud prioritize my own lane before jungle. Other than that I actually learned quite a bit thank you.

I think he's equally good in both roles. IMO he's better if you have a team to queue with, since he can lack damage.

I have been using terizla and my games are going great I can handle 1v2 unless a mm shows up which one did and was a lot of pain to deal with ranged attacks , I am thinking about buying other heroes for exp thinking about x-Borg

I have been using silvinna exp for past 25 games all went well also silvinna second skill has high damage so cutting lans is easy most of the game I did 2v1 in exp but with vengeance and second skill in hand it's ezz to win 1v2....
As a exp laner, I’d say your main goals are:
Early game: get level 4, help with turtle and protect your tower.
Mid game: you should have at least 2 full items and boots, help your team in ganks and fights.
Late game: provide vision, protect your team, distract enemy heroes and DONT GO SOLO SEARCHING FOR KILLS your team needs you.
Its also very important to look for opportunities where u can assasinate their mm or mage, esp if u are someone like chou, zilong or yin. These heroes cant zone but can kill and get out

If you're fighting fighting against Eudora, Ixia, Moskov, Aurora, Vexana, and Valir, there's high chance you will get CC'ed when trying to kill them in a 1v3 situation.
Find a way to separate the damage dealers from the main force by luring them to the bot minions and immediately assassinate them when given the chance. That's how I won my games.
When there's no ADC in the enemy team, its an easy game. However if your ADC is an amateur that is easily eliminated, you lose. If you don't want to lose to a team without an ADC, become the MVP ADC.
Im an Exp laner, and i always use X.Borg to poke my enemies, after my cleaning lane i sometime come to jungle to harrass the enemy jungler or just bullying my enemy exp laner, and at late game i turned into semi-tank X.Borg or full damage, it depends on the situation in game.

Lane freezing is my favourite tactic if the enemy get too close he get punished forcing the enemy to stay in the turret
As a main roam and not really experienced laner, i always do this when i am playing a squishy fighter like argus.
since i play 6k as exp or fighter role the one key to play is keep ur lane and when the turtle is close to ur lane u should help on team fight or bring the 1st blood to increase the teams morale

Because at times I've had to go exp lane with Floryn or Rafaela and they do quite good? Were they just flukes or can ranged exp laners become viable?
Valentina is a good ranged exp laner since she has decent sustain and dmg but it's still recommended u use a close range sustain exp laner since ur the one who will most likely initiate fights
I'd say lylia cuz the longer she is in a battle she hits harder. It's easy to aim skills bc exp layers aren't too mobile
Brody with defense item also can bully exp laners
Most long range heroes can do well in EXP during the early game, since they have the range advantage during that stage. The only problem is if you pick carry heroes in both EXP and Gold since that makes your team composition highly unbalanced. In the late game, you may find that your team lack initiation and frontline tools.

Im playing for 4 years exp main ihave 8000 matches for exp heroes 1448 highest points is my highest rank i rarely see baxia akai and belerick in exp lane what you said is correct they have a good utility skill for team figths but they are slow on clearing minionwaves that was crucial in mid to late game

If you play hybrid that is a hard hitter like terizla, I suggest being aggressive and try to force your enemy go back to their turret and not attack any minons so they get the lowest gold or exp as possible

As an experienced EXP laner playing the game for almost 5 years, I highly commend the depth of concepts and foundations of being a good offlaner. However, I might suggest another aspect of the game which is general hero-match up. A very detrimental concept for good offlaners to know about.

i m a badang main and i counter badang's low health by doing stun. For his ult u can escape it when it is about to end, to counter this i don"t use his ult to the fullest and end it while the opponent is stunned and keep stunning the opponent with m1s or the first skill
I also use terizla and i like him as a damage type because his second skill can kill the opponent (not tanks or hybrids) in early game

My biggest problem with EXP Laners is that the walking speed is too slow. Now that many Mages and Marksman have high mobility in early game, they become harder to catch. Sometimes if my team's Jungler is invaded, if the invaded place is close to the EXP Lane, I can go there. But almost every time I go there the teamfight ends. How can I go to support my teammates quickly?
Sometimes it's difficult, but you can also improve on map awareness and anticipate if the enemy is going to invade. Sometimes, moving early towards certain areas, just-in-case, will help you get to places that you need to go faster.
Can I know what is true damage character and equipment
One thing I don't know is lanes and what you should be doing tbh. I just move forward and apply a lot of pressure that usually sends everyone towards me and trying to push me back as I move forward and continue to keep the pressure up. Then teammates either have an open lane or join me in mine.
Many still dont understand that exp laner plays huge role in team fights... They all think mm or mage is important which is true .. but come on

thank you for this video! i’m a mage main, and whenever i have to adjust as the exp laner, i have no idea what i’m doing! i’m not comfortable with playing close-ranged heroes, so i tend to pick guinevere or silvanna, as they deal magic damage and can easily escape. even then, i still wait for tanks to initiate the team fight because i’m stuck with the mentality of staying in the back line. also, if anyone sees this, are masha and thamuz efficient exp laners? i have their epic skins, so i wanna to put them to use. or any unconventional exp laners!
Masha and Thamuz can be pretty good. I'm not too sure about Masha as she's just been changed tho. However, I still think the likes of YZ Terizla are still a tier above these 2 heroes because they have CC.
