I did this trip as a teenager, almost 20 years ago, but from Fuerteventura to Lanzarote. Remember being fascinated watching the flying fish that followed the ferry. Also remember burning a lot so sunscreen is an absolute must. Next week we are going to Lanzarote and I think I might just take my children on this trip.

Kizzykeats Wishing you a fantastic time in Lanzarote & a great ferry trip if you decide to make the crossing. Sounds like you already have some great memories from your childhood 😎👍❤️

I lived there 20 years ago and the ferry was the buganvilla by Fred Olsen lineas. Now done by the armas:volcan de tindaya and Fred Olsen express:bocayna express

The journey itself was worth the money because it was so beautiful watching the water and watching the land shrink into the horizon and then appear again on the other side. A really enjoyable experience that I thoroughly recommend :)

It's not far to Fuerte about 40mins so no point in getting the fast Fred Olsen ferry. The small ferry is cheaper which leaves from the dock before you get to the main ferries.

Agreed Jim, why rush when the slower service provides more time to take in the breathtaking beauty that surrounds the ferry. As you know, the slower service is also significantly better value for money :)

How much does the ferry cost from Playa Blanca to Fuerteventura?

py2007 Can’t remember exactly but I think it was around 20 euros return for two adults. The ferry in this video is much cheaper than the other ferry operator. If you’re after a bargain, visit the tour and travel shop in the Rubicon, this is usually run by a lovely lady who will give you the best possible price for your party. Travel safe my friend and have fun :)

Hey Eric Ferrys run all year so far as I'm aware. Armas is the better value for money service of the two major operators and we did buy our tickets form the office in the harbour a day or so before, as I recall it was around 25 Euro for the two of us, for a return journey. Wishing you both a great vacation :) Anything else I can help you with?
