And so, I am working my way through all your amazing videos! Each one full of tips that aid me in my search for personal “style”. I love scarves and love wearing them. I love long, narrow, gauzy scarves especially. They are so airy and nice for layering with summer outfits
I am busty and have a roundish face. I tie mine like a man’s tie in a Windsor knot. Lays pretty flat and can give me a V neckline. I do other ties but the Windows knot is most flattering.
I wear scarves all the time! If my neck is cold, I am cold. Plus, they look darn good. When we travel, my take home souvenir is a scarf! Love the video.
Oh, Joy! You and I are kindreds. I always purchase scarves when I travel! They are the perfect take-home treasure... not bulky or breakable. And then you have a beautiful reminder of the trip. Same with the cold neck!! It's like my built-in thermostat. Thanks for watching!
Hello, Heather- Thank you so much for the warm welcome back! I'm excited to be on RUclips again. New videos every Friday... except for today;-) I took this week off to create some new content and packages for the new year. Happy 2022! xx Kristen
I do wear scarves. In summer/fall (🇨🇦) I wear the cotton handkerchief kind - twisted up with the tie in front. And while I do love scarves, the also make me very hot after a time, especially if I'm active, so that could just be ‘out for a walk’. When I arrive home I'm saying “Why do I feel so hot?” and lo + behold I have forgotten I am wearing my scarf. 😳 You very much have my kind of vibe + lingo so find that quite refreshing + I don't even have to leave the house to be entertained! 😉 I am starting to think about scarves more + more as my neck is getting crinkly/wrinkly, but I think of the scarf more as distraction/camouflage. “Look at the elephant!” 😌
Hello, Christine- Thanks for your comment and the chuckle. ☺️ Happy to provide some in-home entertainment. 😉 Sounds like you've found a scarf type that works well for you. I agree there's a fine line between calling more attention to something and gently disguising it. Good luck with the 'elephant'! Thank for watching!!
Leslie Molengraaf 1 day ago Such an enjoyable video. I thrift scarves, make scarves, am gifted scarves and love scarves but simply can’t stand wearing them 😔. I wish I could, but I find anything around my neck or close to my neck so cloying and hot. And I live in Canada 😆
Hello, Valerie- Most of my favorite scarves are actually rayon or sometimes a blend of rayon, cotton and/or linen. I often find them at Old Navy, H&M and Target. And, I always look at scarves when I'm in a thrift or resale shop. Cotton scarves are easiest to find in the summer it seems, when lighter weight fabrics are more in season. Hope that helps!
@@KristenCainStyle Thank you! Yes that's very helpful. What are your thoughts on polyester? I watched your video on organizing my closet and I spent some time putting your tips into practice - it's so much better now! Thank you for your awesome videos and helpful tips!
@@TheValerieEric : Hello, Valerie- Thanks for your patience. I saw your comment and then I couldn't find it to reply. Just landed here again!! If you're asking about polyester scarves, I'm not opposed to them. They are often the more affordable option to silk... especially in the large square scarves. I tend to prefer rayon in a rectangle shape for better drape and ease of tying/wearing. If you're asking about clothing in general, I don't mind polyester. If the garment is new, I prefer recycled polyester for the planet's sake. I think polyester fabric can be great in a blouse because it drapes well, feels good and is washable. Hope that helps! Thank you for your very kind words. I hope you're loving your refreshed closet!! Have a wonderful December! xx Kristen
The Chanel scarf looks great so wear it more.

Thank you!! I feel the same about long, narrow, gauzy scarves!
Beautifully done. You love scarves - and scarves love you!
And the milky-coloured top you are wearing is a perfect choice.
