another advantage of accesscode is that you can banish gala/longirsu and then bring them back with world wand, rarely occurred but it's a nice recursion option if skeleton already used or get blocked. for pure otk borrelsword is still better tho since access+ding isn't game yet
If you play pure Sky Striker or Sky Striker/Orcust, i recammand the spellcard "Blink Out" because this card opens so many play that Sky Striker could benefit from. THis quickplay spell has the effect to target and shuffle one of your link monsters back to the extra deck and special summons one of the monsters used as materials back to the field. It can be another link monster as long as you summoned it properly and used it as a link material. This allows to dodge certain negates or allows you to re-summon another link monster back that you can use right away. I love this card and think people who play link heavy decks should consider to play this card. For my pure Sky Striker deck i run EM:P Meowmine, Link into the Vrains and Blink Out and these 3 cards do so much for this deck and will be even better once the new support comes out, whenever we get it. They give extra bodies, recycle and dodge certain negates or other effects. Sky Striker has problems to keep the pressure up but with these cards i feel you end up with having more to use. So if you use the Striker engine or play the pure version, try these cards out, i personally have good experiences with it and think they are great.
You can only special Striker Links once no matter what, no matter where it came from, the same way you cant Promethean revive Kagari add Engage for a triple Engage. The only way you can use this is on Raye material and even then Linkage is legit enough for target dodging.
I think this deck is pretty unexplored now, like it genuinely feels really good and better than rogue which is where it's at now For example here josh says he broke a board of a spell/trap negate, monster negate and a pop and barely won, and uses that as a negative, but is it really? How many decks in the current format can realistically break that without board breakers? Well, snake eye can't(ash eats a negate, oss eats a negate, and even if they open both diabellstar + ash, the pop still stops any link 2 plays) Tenpai can't, unless they open multiple field spells to bait out disruptions Voiceless can't (monster negate for saffira, pop for whatever lo activates and then there's the additional spell/trap negate left) Branded can't (spell negate for brafu, pop for quem if they access it to prevent plays on the opp turn, monster negate for cartesia) But that's kinda this deck's main strength, being all gas means it's extremely good at going 2nd and extremely consistent at going 1st, however it does have some major weaknesses Like droll, or the grind game not being as good as other orcust variants, since after turn 1 you're basically playing pure, barebones orcust This is somewhat different compared to more "pure" orcust builds from 2019, as in those bardiche + ding could easily clear 2 bodies during both players turns, so no walling up like what josh described here, and fog blade could reborn a monster from the gy for more material, while the dangers provided more gass for borrelsword otks, which were also stronger without walling up That's probably why josh remembers orcust as grindier and more explosive, it's not just vibes, the deck was both grinder and more explosive, and thanks to mermaid extremely consistent and more resilient to hand traps so opening dead cards like the pk monsters, wand or fog blades wasn't an issue
@@andrejv.2834you’re not wrong but the deck needs a really good pilot and I think that’s what people tend to forget. Such bad deck... Literally zero traps... AND if you play zero traps why not run Royal Decree in the deck ? Auto win against Labrynth. No Twin Twisters either which is BROKEN going second in Sky Striker AND Orcust destroys their defenses and fills your graveyard instantly with whatever you want there to be. Your deck lists are so bad World Champion.
Situational cards…idk if you are being sarcastic or not but those are side cards. Why would you main Twin Twisters or Royal decree when the #1 and 2 decks or fiendsmith/yubel and SE/FK. Which are combo decks. Not control trap decks like Lab.
@@trapperoftheyear9064 If you play no traps then maining decree is good. Against Labrynth is auto win at least the way these noobs play Labrynth cause they can't deal with it like I can. If you play against decks that don't play traps you should win anyways and if it is a match you side them out game 2 and 3. Twin Twisters is broken in Sky Striker as it is instantly 2 spells in your graveyard. Allows you to do your combos first turn going second. Removes any backrow that would interrupt with your combos. Going first you can set it to interrupt yourself. Like they play a Field spell or something you chain it so they don't get the effect. Witch discards and sets a card then you can destroy it in the end phase along with something else or theiir field. You making me wanna play modern again frick
You prob will never try to play vaylantz but what I have figure this format is that you either draw lava golem or lose playing vaylantz so I think a sky striker vaylantz deck could be fun, upstart also gives you more consistency and vaylantz already loses to droll and shifter so who cares lol
ok, i know everybody loves Raye, but what does sky striker actually bring to orcust? seems like a waste...
more draw power, shark canon & widow anchor help with masquerena plays, striker cards are good going 1st or 2nd
When salad revival
Hey Josh can you Maybe try yubel ?
locals report best report
Ich würde mich freuen wenn du mal Infernity, Infernoid oder Insektor Spielen würdest
BLACKWINGS BEST DECK
OH MY GOD YES
You’re from Germany?
What about purrely
Wait......why no super poly
Tbh just take out striker in extra and you got it 😂but at that point you might as well drop the striker engine
I love these videos
Try out raidraptor my guy 😂
Hi Joshua! ❤
You are the best❤
HÜRTH GANG IN CHAT
¿so i don't have to? My guy, you wouldn't possibly be able to convince me to play other deck this format than Orcust.
2 Cymbal Skeleton is too many, you could also reduce the draw power and not play into Droll & Lock Bird so hard. You're not exactly encouraging playing the deck that much, when it has room for innovation.
What are they playing at these locals that these low power level decks are winning every week 😂
It's cut from this clip but ons tream Josh said that the locals was pretty low powered and that he only played against infernoble, blackwing, and some other non meta deck in the 3 rounds. It also probably helps that Josh is one of the best players on the planet, so even with a lower powered deck like this his knowledge of the game just helps.
@@polygon2745 I was just curious cause hes won every week and I know hes an excellent player but like I feel like the locals had to not be very competitive for him to be topping with this
Such bad deck...
The discard is GOOD in Sky Striker cause you either discard Raye that you want in the graveyard or a Spell to do your combos faster. Anyways I wrote all of that before realising that Joshua is a big overrated noob. Hahahahaha
First haha
