Only once a year the High Priest could go in to the Holy of Holies! Wow! And, now God dwells in man by His Holy Spirit! We are so blessed in Christ! ♥️🌹🌷🌹♥️What an amazing covenant!
When I heard the tour guide (Nahum) answering to Erick's question: "why was the ark of the covenant so important?" Like most believers, I always had the assurance that only three things were in the Ark itself, the re-written tablets of the 10 Commandments, Aron's rod and the bowl of mana. But besides these three objects, Nahum mentions the broken original 10 Commandments written by God. It's something that I never would've imagined! In my opinion, that may very well be true because when Moses broke the original tablets, it's easy to infer that Joshua for instance, might have been the man who collected the broken pieces to latter on give them to Moses, then he kept them together and ultimately ordered deposit them along with the re-written tablets inside the Ark. Fascinating indeed.
Absolutely amazing! How beautiful to see such love ❤️ in Israel. The love ❤️ of Jesus! Wow! Really great video, Erick! I love your child like excitement! I think that’s exactly how I’d be too if I was doing your job, or just getting to tour the land of Israel 🇮🇱, learn all this history on site, and meet all those great people!!😃 Does your family get to go with you? ♥️
Prophet Samuel born there by his Mother Hannah who begged God for an obedient child that would serve the Most High God. Folks...Hannah got her wish. Thank you Lord!
The ark of the covenant was found in 1982 in Zedekiah cave where the prophet Jeremiah hid it, but its not accessible to anyone until God appointent time.
9:10 There was a rope tied around priest's waist to pull him out if something happens to him? Well I never heard that before. Is it mentioned in bible I wonder?🤔
I did have another assurance; which is that the re-written 10 Commandments were also written by God Himself because Exodus 34:1 says: "Adonai said to Moshe, “Cut yourself two tablets of stone like the first ones; and *I will inscribe* on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke." However, Exd.34:28 appears to say that Moses wrote the 10 Commandments; which is consistent with what Nahum (the guide) says that "...Moses 'helped' God to write them." I have to confess that my assurance dwindled by 25% yet, it was just for a while because of lack of clarity in the text. On the other hand, did God really need Moses' help to redo the Commandments? I don't think so. My take though is consistent with the CJB (Complete Jewish Bible) version that clarifies in my favor: "Moshe *was there with Adonai* forty days and forty nights, during which time he neither ate food nor drank water. [Adonai] wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Words." Yet again, what is it that Moses really wrote? he did write all those other laws regarding to slaves, responsibility of masters & owners, laws of restitution, humanitarian laws, the three annual holydays, all the regulations to build the Tabernacle including the Priesthood, offerings and admonitions for not comply with God's ordinances mentioned in chapters 21 - 31 of Exodus. If for some reason we humans get to discover the Ark of the Lord and are able to lay hands on it; I think Archeologists will be able to trembling putting together the broken pieces of the original 10 Commandments which will match with the second set of them. How awesome moments those could be, don't you think!?
9:38 I wold argue that the problems at Shiloh started BEFORE the sons of Eli came along. Look at the closing passages of Judges, and you see an horrific kidnapping scheme perpetrated at The Feast site in Shiloh. How could this be tolerated? All future memories at this site would be tainted. It was downhill from there. Headquarters had to be moved.
When in 587 BC, Babylonians destroyed the Solomon's Temple, what happened to the Ark? Was there any Ark, in the rebuilt, the Second Temple, and if there was, was it the original? Romans completely destroyed the Second Temple in about 70 AD. The relief on the Arch of Titus, showing Roman soldiers carrying on their shoulders, the huge Menorah. If they also took the from the Temple, the Ark, which would be for them, incomparably more important "trophy", it would be also shown on that relief, commemorating the victory over the Jews. Therefore, the question is, if there was an Ark of the Covenant in the second Temple?
What was really inside the ark...“There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.” 1 Kings 8:9 KJV
