They're in the band looking around like they lost @ 9:04 and throughout the praise session...like what is this? What are they doing? See they don't know Yah like we know him. Black people have endured the worst of the worst and we still praise him...We praise and call on him during the storm. We literally love him, he is in us.

This is what brought so many of our ancestors through times way worse than what we're living in now. Good old fashioned raw soul singing and praise. One of my mother's favorites. Precious memories of Aretha and all the other greats gone before. Beautiful!
Now this is what you call an old traditional back home song you sing when the family burial lot is in your back yard or on the same acres of your family home and where the street sign bare your family name! Only black folks from the country that grew up with out houses or the children kinfolk who travel every Summer to visit and remember their roots know about songs like this! Amen!
I’m so glad I can appreciate this clip for what it is...a soulful homecoming and not a talent, singing, or fashion contest. Most people in the comment section are very unaware of what mourning & travailing sounds like and while I pray for these youths (thinking more about hair color and screams): Lord, turn their mourning into dancing when their time comes because it’s coming and the last thing many will be thinking about is what they look or sound like. These legends came for Aretha!!
Sang ya’ll!! I don’t think people understand that this is where Aretha Franklin came from. Your personal taste for music can’t really speak to that. I believe she would have loved it. Did they go a little long? Yes. Did Ms. Vanessa squall a little hard? Yes; but that is the style of Gospel Aretha Franklin came from. I appreciate the ministry they are doing. I’ve seen these artists minister more than just in this forum & they seem to be anointed. On a purely voice assessment; something was either wrong with sound or the quality of the air was harsh or something bc I thought a lot of the performers’ voices sounded harsh; even some of the best voices.
Remember Vanessa Bell Armstrong is the singer on the "Amen" sitcom intro in the 80's.

Black people have endured the worst of the worst and we still praise him...We praise and call on him during the storm. We literally love him, he is in us.
Tarea Peters They are SOULLESS ppl that’s why they don’t understand. When we hear all of these brothers and sister sing, we ALL get chills because we have it in us. They couldn’t possibly understand that because they’re dead inside.

Tarea Peters I would have been laid out on the floor if I was there I have watched I don’t know how many times and get laid out!

Yaaaassssss! T! Well Spoken!

Amen!
Mrs.Vanessa Bell Armstrong is still a BEAST!!! The Best of the Best. TO GOD BE THE GLORY. Continue Ms. Armstrong.
Ineatched that whole funeral at home i never heard that woman in my life but she they took it home it was definitely a homegoing. Beautiful voices.
Amen to all the above 👌🙏🙌🙌🙌
Amen Hallelujah 🙌🙌🙏🙏👏👏🤗🤗
Thank you Church of Detroit. You sent her well.

Yes! Glory! Praise God what a blessed homegoing.
So it wasn't just me? They all sounded horrible! Not sure if they were all tired or as you say, something in air??
Mel L Those people are human beings too.Everybody have bad days Smh.
I believe the sound was off.. most singers came off really pitchy... It had to be the sound system.
Phenomenal Woman you're absolutely right! I sing too, and I know it's true. God bless!
dominion77515 I think it was the system. It had a 'tinny' sound.
All Three Great Singer Singing For Aretha Franklin I Hear You Doug Sing It!!!!!
