Yup, games been dead for weeks at this point. After 120+ hours I got bored and quit playing 3 weeks ago. Been playing a lot of Remnant 2 lately having a blast. Haven’t looked back since.

I already knew everything in this video. What is with everyone replaying shit and saying it's new? The spear, the eruptor shrapnel, same questions for the devs, buffing underpowered guns (tenderizer), twinbeard being vague/cryptic whilst avoiding direct answers and apologizing (again), criticism regarding over balancing over fun, and a history of the helldivers name. Who fucking cares man?! What in the hell is different from this video then yesterday's?

The eruptor was my favorite weapon after it came out, and it makes me so sad that its basically been removed from the game at this point.

Because he knows how to play the algorithm. Sure, he may waste everyone's time, but he's making big bucks and that's all he cares about.
My question is, why don't they just revert all the weapons they nerved back to its original use and buff the ones that are useless?
Probably because the community is already split on what they deem as balanced, Arrowhead don't really know what the baseline for balance is either so it's all experimenting.
Each weapon, armour and stratagem fit a playstyle and they need to balance each in accordance, For instance the slugger was a better sniper than the other two options we had back in the day and that was its main issue was it's massive damage output at range despite being a shotgun.
From the very first weapon patch they did when they gutted the railgun I said that they needed to buff other weapons first and nerf later as most of the arsenal was redundant due to very few choices being viable and then they could add more difficulties which people turned around and massively berated me for.
All I'm hoping for is for the new weapon patch to come out and 70%+ of the arsenal is fun to use and then for difficulty 10 when it comes out to give good rewards and be a difficult challenge.
Because most of the nerfs didnt really change the weapons, the community tends to exaggerate what they do, on the other side the devs do sometimes makss nonsense decisions.

@@tomhopkins5585 I literally choose a different weapon everytime I play, on diff 6-9, and the only times I struggle is when my or my team makes dumb mistakes and not because of the weapon choice
I would say the only bad weapons are the Lib Pen, Crossbow, Eruptor and Purifier

The shrapnel was the eruptors best attribute. People getting killed by it were too close to the impact.
Would you rather have weapons feel shitty while you wait for them to feel better slowly, or have them all buffed to make them fun as they're slowly fine tuned? I know which is more fun for the playerbase.
I'm my opinion the patrol spawns and overall enemy spawning needs to be fixed ASAP before weapon balaning. It literally makes the game not fun. Just played an operation on level 5 (Hard) and couldn't even explore the map. The entire 40 minutes was just constant bug breaches and constant fighting down to the last second. Not a single breather. The two of us just had to do the main objective and get out hitting anything we happened to run last and that was it. There was one point at the extract there were like 5+ chargers on us along with literally probably 100 other bugs... And that's only one level 5 difficulty like it's not even close to max difficulty.
Stylosa, we have a saying in Poland which roughly translates to "..when you throw into the fire so much that it goes out" and this is basically what you are doing right now

4:50, whilst kind of a weird take by the dev, it could be considered an exploit - since an exploit consists out of unintentional behaviour of a mechanic in a game. Devs did not intend for it to be able to one shot chargers like that - hence an exploit. So it can be defined as an exploit, it’s just a slightly outlandish take by the developer.

I just want to see the assault rifles be buffed. Larger magazines and more of them would be an easy buff that would instantly make them better, but a slight bit more damage would also be highly appriciated.

Still waiting for the patch that stops the automatons from shooting through rock formations and me not being able to return fire.
I feel like that plasma purifier should have 3 settings to deal with every type of enemy.
1. Light mode: only able to penetrative light armor (1/15) capacity per shot
2. Medium: able to penetrate medium armor (3/15) per shot
3. Heavy: able to penetrative heavy armor (5/15) per shot. And it would need 6 shots to take out a charger or 2 mags.
This way, it would have utility for every situation but be hard to use since you would have to change mode constantly while fighting to best suit what you will be shooting at.
I still stand by my theory as to why the Eruptor got its shrapnel removed and it makes complete sense when you think about it contextually. If they don't fix the way the Eruptor's shrapnel interacts with the ricochet mechanics then we're essentially locked out of ever getting any other shrapnelling guns because that's the source of the problem. We're doing this whole song and dance about they're trying to cover up the symptom instead of resolving the issue at its core. Going on and on about how Arrowhead's correct and we're wrong (about what was going on) and that their fix isn't working, something we all know now, isn't anything new. Getting to the core of the issue and bringing that to light is a bigger help than just repeating what we already know about the situation. It's, again, the same thing that happened with fire and gas DOT as host. It wasn't communicated and Arrowhead buffed fire all over. They did it again because they didn't get the response they wanted, and now they've only just resolved the actual issue after everyone pointed out what the actual problem was.
From this point forward, Monday shall be renamed "The Day Before Major Patch Day".
So many of us are already annoyed at the state of the game, but still holding onto hope that the devs might turn things around with these recent balance discussions. By posting this stupid and straight up lie of a clickbait video, you're preying on that hope and then immediately disappointing us since literally nothing has happened yet.

well stated. I've been noticing a lack of news-worthy content in a number of his videos shortly after he made the switch to helldivers, this feels completely out of line.
They have the workings to offset power creep, buff the weapons and keep ludacris patrol numbers as they are or even increase them.
It would be cool if they gave an in universe reason for nerfs like the bugs resistance have gone up. And then when they go to buff it the seaf have developed new ordanance. Then they could constantly push and pull the numbers some.
Can't lie it just doesn't slap the same since I started playing V rising.
Buffing the weak weapons won't be power creep unless they're buffed beyond the effectiveness of the current top picks. Power creep is when the ceiling is raised. Our enemies have power creep. They keep getting buffs and more powerful units added.

And yet the game is still unplayable for me and I keep disconnecting every 2 or 3 minutes and get kicked... literally cannot play. And no, it's not my internet or PC lol.
They removed sharnel from everything with explosive damage. Grenades, scorcher etc were all nerfed from removing shrapnel. As a guy who uses the infinity grenade glitch from time to time just for fun, grenades do less damage.

Wait a minute here. WOW squish wasn't a nerf, sure you went from a 1 million fireball to a 1000 fireball, but the mobs went from 10 million to 10k. So it all evens out. It wasn't a nerf.
When HD2 NERFED the exo, they didn't reduce the number of mobs or their hp. And it became utterly useless on higher difficulties.
Primaries are basically useless against most mobs on the top difficulties.
I like how the CM messaging (TB) is alot more common and professional now.

They really do Need to fix patrols! I'm a lvl 137 solo helldiver and it's ridiculous, they just spawn in on u, u will be shooting enemies or fabricators from far away then u turn around and there is 5 devestators and a hulk right there! But my main gripe is the extract I will call it in and hide and the patrol will either come to exactly where I'm hiding or congregate round the extract then for some reason they will agro and start shooting at my direction and call a bot drop when im behind a big rock or building I'm laid down and they don't actually see me, also what is suspect is that always happens when the timer gets to 1min this happens every time it's so cringey and cheap
Just have them reduce warbonds to once a quarter, and make them 9 pages long like the default warbond. Slower tempo, more stuff to unlock and more time to test the warbond.
There'll be a small patch tomorrow, bug fixes and maybe a revert. Next week will be the big patch since it's the end of the month and that's when they do the big things and put in the next war bond.
I want to see some of the warbond guns be actually worth the time to purchase them. the BRs, the tenderizer. I feel like I just end up back with one of the two breakers every time.
The box promising overpowered weapons and the ones we get being either under powered or adequately powered seems like such a super earth thing to do.
if you want to know more about the spear lock ons you need more 0's and 1's for stats and its easy lock ons. most people are using the spear wrong and sure that can be a problem for ease of use but TBH people just use the spear wrong and pair it with the wrong set of armor.
I just dont want any more weapon nerfs. My heart can't take it anymore.
I haven't been able to play Helldivers since the most recent bug fix. I crash 100 percent of the time in yhe Hellpod animation acreen and am looking for help 😔.

Reinstalling game
Verify games integrity on steam
And clearing the steam cache.
Not sure what else to do and hate not being able to play. Any body else having this issue? Never had an issue with crazhes before last patch
I want the Spear to have a dumb fire like the Javelin from the original Modern Warfare 2. That’d make it a risk and reward type weapon at the same time of one of the best at taking out Heavy’s. Making it A-tier at least.
I'd hope they just balance based on player surveys and their own stats rather than solely their calculations. If the shrapnel is too prone to friendly fire, why couldn't they just make it incendiary rounds or even gas rounds lol, make it something good at crowd control.
I think the devs should include optional mission parameters similar to the Division 2's Directives. This way players could choose added difficulty if they desire it, and they wouldn't have to ruin weapons.

We could use some power creep. Not a lot, but enough to get all weapons around the same power as the JAR-5, each in their own way.
Honestly spear is really strong already so a "fix" will probably make it the best anti tank weapon in the game. The thing can one shot. Bile titans.

Ok maybe if they didn't like Charges dying quickly (didn't even know that was a thing before nerf), but complaing about how you kill yourself or teammates is for me really stupid. The shrapnel is what made the the Eruptor stand out. Does alot of good damage before the nerf and dealt with bio spewers in one shot. Now its hot garbage and just a worse version of the auto cannon which is better then the Eruptor at the moment. If they don't bring back the its shrapnel capabilities its just a way worse version of the auto cannon

Regarding the spear, I'm really pissed about the aiming and the damage this weapon does. It's so random. Today I needed three, 3!, missiles to know out a shredder tank.
i want a stratagem that calls in a giant spike to impale a bile titan!!! Or a laser grenade that does a 360 degree burst of lasers, or a sword as a secondary, maybe a grapple hook or zipline gun as a stratagem, or an assault rifle with a small shield around the barrel. This took me 5 min to come up with.
The name "Helldivers" is straight up a reference to ODSTs from Halo, who are called "Helljumpers" in-universe.

Honestly, IMO, the Eruptor should be reverted to what it was and made into a stratagem.
I'm sure it's more complicated that this but wouldn't it be easier to lower the enemies HP to a more reasonable level that way they don't need to check the stats of every single gun🤔🤷🏻♂️
