- Ramble round Towcester (Lactodorum) one of Northamptonshire’s oldest towns, which the famous Watkins St intersects. You can see the Roman Museum, the pub which was mention in the Charles Dickens classic, Pickwick Papers, the workhouse, Easton Newton lodge gates, the site of the old railway station and many more historic places.
We are visiting the area over the weekend and your video has given us a really good insight into where to go in Towester.
Thank you 😊
Lady Hesketh had a fear of falling objects, and would always shelter under an open umbrella, apparently. I remember seeing Bed Knobs and Broomsticks in the cinema - it was amazing in there.
This is my family‘s estate my name is Carol Farmer in US, Son of Sir George Fermor ‘Thomas Fermor’ my 9th great grandfather and youngest son of Sir George Fermor came to Jamestown in 1616 on ship ‘Tryall’ first Fermor (Farmer) to arrive. From what I understand there was another mansion that stood on this property before this one was built. Love video….
