my mom & sisters live in Colorado, they love to go skiing and hiking in the mountains and always drive to their destinations, the idea of them taking a train is so crazy to me. widely-used regular train transit just not something that really exists even in the cities that much let alone to the wilderness. but I agree that it should! I would love to visit the Tatras. I don't have a drivers license anymore (I let it expire after I moved to prague in 2015), so it'd be train or bus for me. I would love if such options existed in the US too.

It's worth remembering that the TEZ also had it's "down" moment - the rack section was an early victim of road competition. Trains ceased running in 1932, the line's concession expired in 1936 and the rails were removed during WWII. The line was only reopened in its present format (1/3 of the line is brand-new) in 1968.

Thank you, I'm reminded that I want to travel to the Tatra sometime and use these railways.

Huh. First of all, I love the topic and it was well made. But the depth was 'interesting'. It's a short vid, but when seeing the notification I hoped for more than Colorado vs Slovakia :-) what about Czech Republic? Alpy? A to mám 180cm. Jsou Evropský spací vlaky lepší? Do Tater jsem jel z Olomouce kde jsem byl na výšce, tak to zas tak daleko nebylo. Před 20 lety :-D Lajk ať ti to roste.

I think one of the benefits is that you get driven around with a professional driver. The Tatra mountains are quite scary to drive around to be honest, but so are probably the Colorado ones.

I'm 6 foot/183cm and I still found the bed cramped when I took the night train from Frankfurt to Vienna. I had to eat my breakfast squatting in the corridor because I couldn't sit up in the bed, either. I don't understand why they make them so small.

I have exact opposite problem, I am 167 cm tall and everything is designed for tall or fat people here in Czech Republic. 😀

jjI expected that the Tatra electric railway should be running with Tatra rolling stock rather than Stadler.
Don't get me wrong that I found anything wrong with operating Stadler, just saying....

Hi Tramly, you arent 100% right with Colorado ski resorts
My favorite DownieLive have a video about train to ski resort
    Here:ruclips.net/video/9HP80VcLmlQ/видео.htmlsi=y_kxvWYbW8K5J4LR
And I enjoy my train experience in Tatry so much!

Amtrak serves Ski resorts, yes, I probably should've mentioned that in the vidro
but in the video, I was talking specifically about Aspen and Vail, which have no train service
but that's definitely a mistake on my part, I need to mention that in future videos

@@TheTramly You should mention that, ofc
But for me, Aspen and (I don't know Vaine, but its probably the same) is town for rich and wanna be rich people who probably, even if Amtrak offer the most luxurious train, they gonna choose car bcs 'merica, baby
