Interestingly, players with extremely high work rate and pressing higher up a lot usually seem to stand out a lot against RM this season.
Xaver (RBL), Laimer (FCB), Muller (FCB), Grealish (MCI), Bernardo (MCI), etc.
That might be why Tuchel instructed just some of his players to press a lot individually and Laimer was one of them

The first 20 mins Bayern was dominating and created good chances that Sane and Musiala couldn't finish well. If they could properly contain the opposition which they had all the assets to do, then they would have walked away with a win

Critics often accuse Carlo Ancelotti of lacking clear strategies against top opponents on big Champions League nights. However, if we apply the 48th Law of Power, "Assume Formlessness", we can view Ancelotti's approach in a different light.
Ancelotti's strategy could be seen as a form of "formlessness". Rather than adhering to a rigid, predictable game plan, Ancelotti may be choosing to remain flexible and adaptable, adjusting his tactics based on the specific circumstances of each match. This approach can be advantageous as it makes Real Madrid difficult for opponents to analyze and counter.
Just like water, which assumes the shape of its container, Ancelotti's team adapts to the challenges posed by different opponents. This fluidity and unpredictability can be a strength, not a weakness. It allows Real Madrid to respond to the unique dynamics of each game, making them a formidable opponent on any given night.
In the high-stakes environment of the Champions League, where games are often decided by the smallest of margins, the ability to adapt and change can be the difference between victory and defeat. Ancelotti's "formless" approach keeps opponents guessing and allows Real Madrid to seize opportunities as they arise.
So, while critics may perceive a lack of clear strategy, Ancelotti might be employing a sophisticated approach inspired by the principle of formlessness. This approach requires a deep understanding of the game and the ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.

Maybe one minor mistake I noticed (and that is already an arrogant statement by me given that I speak about such grandmaster, so apologies), but I think that sometimes (eg, against M City and Barca) Ancelotti was late with the substitutes. his players were tired and the opponents in both games scored. Something to consider.

People are underestimating and quickly forgot what happened last year at the semis. Madrid were demolished by City in the second leg and Ancelotti admitted that. Also, Real were struggling against Barcelona and were outsmarted tactically several times by Xavi. Real wanted to avoid this happening by any means during this season. Given the fact that Benzema left, changes were desperately needed.
Last year Real played with the conventional 4-3-3, which Ancelotti adopted during his first stay at Madrid. The very same construction was later used by Zidane. However, it became very predictable and Ancelotti knew during the summer that it is the right time for experimenting and selecting a new gameplan.
Not only Ancelotti changed his own tactics, but as @sparkle-stories rightfully indicated now Real is indeed "formlessness". Sometimes they play 4-3-1-2, sometimes 4-4-2, sometimes even with Camavinga as inverted back and asymmetrical formation, sometimes Modric plays to the position and the role in which Pirlo used to play and it is difficult to predict how Real will play, regardless the opponent. Do not forget that this year Real suffers from severe injuries of Militao, Alaba and Courtois! Against Atleti, they even played without a natural center back!
No other team would have managed to adapt so quickly and still be at this stage of the season in a top shape. Madrid put Barca at their place, kicked out City, won the Supercopa, needing only 4 points to take over La Liga again and now fighting for a third trophy! In fact, Real only lost this season against Atleti!
So hands off from Ancelotti, he is a Mastermind! Can't wait for the next season and the new arrivals. Real will be stronger!

Well thats because ancelotti has a great player like vinicius who can finish his chances. I bet most forwards are gonna miss that 1v1 against neuer.
Guys like Kane, haaland and mbappe score like 1 goal after screwing up 10 big chances. So the coach needs to literally get his tactics going to create that many chances, if they wanna score.
Just watch how many chances Kane missed yesterday. That's something the coach can't control. Madrid barely created any real chance. The 1st goal was pure brilliance by kroos and vini.
Most of madrids recent games have been that way. The Individual brilliance of the players and the final finishing is what saves madrid while the opponent forwards struggle to finish their chances. So even though many teams have outplayed madrid tactically this season, madrid managed to grab a win or draw against them purely due to this reason.

If Bayern really have to play with Min-jae again, they'll be out of the CL. You can buy a player like that to play in the DFB Cup against second or third division teams or a CL preliminary round match against Istanbul and sell a few shirts in Asia. But you don't seriously buy a player with his lack of quality to actually play Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the CL. The mistakes he made caused both goals and at least the first mistake (even though Kroos' pass was great) was on the level of an inexperienced schoolboy player in the district league.

Bring Tuchel back to Chelsea ASAP, he understands tactics which Poch doesn’t, just look at the difference, Chelsea usually play worse in the second half of games which has to be blamed on the manager, where here Tuchel seen what was wrong tactically and changed a few things at half time and Bayern were better in the second half, I just don’t think Poch is good enough tactically to manage Chelsea. I think Poch will be sacked when the season is over and Tuchel is definitely gone from Bayern so if there’s any chance of getting Tuchel back Chelsea owners need to swallow their pride and try get him back 🙏🙏🙏🙏
