I have no idea why using real life or realistic art for inspiration/reference would be a viable thing in pixel art lol I feel silly. I just recently started like a week ago, I drew a farmer, some farm tools and a (very basic) dungeon tile set. I feel like using reference is going to help me immensely. Love the video. Can't wait to watch more :)
Really nice video, I liked it a lot. Just one small thing, with the copy pasting by the end of the video, the shadow of the axe is wrong. From what I can see, it should be on the right and not the left.
In this case I was just curious to see how a 14x14 tileset would look, but I highly recommend 16x16 tiles, since it's the standard size for old pixel art games and game engines would benefit from that size regarding performance (power of two textures and sprites have some advantages in the GPU processing). All our games are 16x16 tile based.
The next game is already on the works, and will be released in late 2018. It's an open world action-exploration platformer, similar to Castlevania games on the GBA (Circle of the Moon, Aria of Sorrow, etc.) regarding exploration and map layout.

@@Dyagames Gracias :3
Whats the tile size?
In this particular case, 14 x 14 pixels.

good stuff subscribed :)
THANK YOU
I am just wondering, how long did it take to make this whole thing?
Wait! Are you working with 14x14 tiles? Why did you choose that? Wouldn't it make more sense to do 16x16?
