I cried after watching this scene. Just started watching this show on Hulu I’m 47 (female) and fell in love with Clana they ruined the show by sticking with the comics and pairing Clark with Lois. TW and KK have much more chemistry, than TW and ED can’t stop watching Clana videos on you tube!
Kal-El is now much closer to commensing his training, as sad as this is, this had to happen, Lana will find another man for she's got time and no saving humanity sort of destiny to forfill whereas Kal-El does not have that Luxary. Soon enough Kal-El will dawn the blue tights and red cape and fly up up and away.

You sound awkward saying Kal-El all the time. Anyway, I agree; as sad as this is, it was going to happen. Lois and Clark... that is what I'm hoping for. The way it should be. :) And I am pretty sure the director said he didn't ever want to put him in the costume. Trying to change stuff up, I dunno.
In the comics Lana ended up with Pete Ross. Pete became president after Lex was caught by Batman and Superman. He left office and his marriage was on the rocks but no divorce that I can remember. How's that for a future shocker.
