  • Swami Nigamananda Saraswati Paramahansa dev(18 August 1880-29 November 1935) was an Indian spiritual mentor(Guru), especially well known in the Eastern part of the Indian Subcontinent. He achieved Siddhi(extreme perfection) in four different branches of Sanatan Hindu religious disciplines: Tantra, Gyan, Yoga and Prem and after attaining 'Nirvikalp Samadhi'. became known as 'Sadguru'. As a member of Adi Sankaracharya's Dasnami monastic tradition, he tried to synthesize the Adwaita Vedanta of Sankaracharya with Bhaktivad of Sri Gouranga.
In this short film, one of the numerous miraculous incidents of this great mystic sage has been depicted in which he transfused life into the body of a child declared dead hours before. Days before the incident, the little boy, under the instruction of a local wicked landlord, stole the manuscript of 'Gyaniguru,' composed by the Sadguru. This astounding tale of sheer compassion happened at Durgapur of Comilla district of today's Bangladesh where he established his first ashram or the monastic centre, known as Shanti Ashram in 1314 B.S.
