I think this was a really good idea! I personally before Techno passed, really preferred Pork chops mostly because in all my worlds it's easier to find pigs, and it's really not a bad food source. I will say though after Techno passed on any worlds I continue to play on I threw away my pork chops and don't kill pigs anymore. On one of my worlds I even made a steak farm to prevent having to kill many other animals.
