I like how they were a tag team that broke up after only one match (that they won btw).
I know! I was kind of hoping they’d fight like hellcats in singles competition and for Toni’s belt, but somehow put those differences aside in tag competition and contend for the AEW Women’s tag title when that’s unveiled. Beating Toni and Mariah automatically made “VirtuRosa” the top contenders for that title, and there’s much to be said for “keeping your friends close and your enemies closer.” There’s no rule that says that two tag partners can’t hate each other’s guts and compete against each other when they’re not tagging. But they’d need to compartmentalize their feud. Right now, I just don’t see that happening.

They’re both pretty heelish. Thunder did Deonna dirty by tagging herself in and getting the pin on Toni, very deliberately one-upping the Virtuosa and putting herself ahead as #1 contender. Of course, Deonna was so upset because she wanted to do the exact same thing! So fierce and yet catty, both of them-love it!
Deonna is so much better as a heel, really looking forward to seeing how her heel run and feud with Rosa goes, should be really fun.
