Great Video Logan! I too try to trim once a month, but sometimes that flow state kicks in during other maintenance and I find myself doing it anyway haha
Probably not if you go the low tech route. Iwagumis tend to rely on carpeting plants that really benefit from high lighting/CO2. For beginner low-tech, I would go for a densely planted jungle-style scape with low light plants like crypts, microsorums, and rheophytes
Nice scape, love small builds just amazing 🙏🏽
I’ve had my mc for 6 months now & have not trimmed it bc I was nervous lol. Willing to try it now with these tips, thanks 🙌🏼
Nothing to be nervous about at all! Hope my tutorial helps
How do you clean up trimmings if you have floats at top and shrimp already in the tank
Very carefully with a net. And then a check the container that I scoop trimmings into for hitchhiking shrimp

I know whatcha mean. Sometimes the trimming finds you!
Great video! What's your dose to get 120 TDS?
I go by eye and just keep adding until my TDS pen reads 120
Pure red line shrimp fit so well in Iwugamis
Would a low tech iwagumi style tank be a good first tank?
