What a great man Dutch was. His spirit continues to live on and on....alive and kicking. Loved that man so much. God Bless you Dutch. God Bless you. Love your work. You will always be the hearts who both knew you and loved you. So grateful I was lucky enough to mett you.
@@ZYNO42 well how lucky you are and to have such access to such a great man. I miss him dearly. He sang and played at my partners funeral. It was special and I know Northey was enjoying it. I have texted Dan Tilders .....you would know him for sure. Stay well. Keep the faith!!!
I lived right near to Dutch. & I never knew. I had a close friend back then, who was a friend of 'Dutch'. I never knew. I was lucky to see him play in small pubs in Tassie, & Victoria thru the 80's and onwards & then I finally got what the blues & he was saying. I had so much fun learning & hearing blues music. It opened my ears to a new world and also an old world. Dutch helped me understand that blues music is universal. He helped me realise that it doesn't matter where you've come from, that it's all about who you are.
Just received the newsletter from the MBAS and was so sad to hear of Dutch's passing , my dad put me on to him 35 yrs ago loved his music but more so his warm humble contact with people - RIP Dutch and enjoy your journey !!!!!
Whenever live Blues is played in this Country the enormous spirit of Dutch Tilder's is very close by .Lives on is so many of the musos he mentored some of which were in this wonderful clip .RIP Dutchman!
1972...a little obscure place in North Melbourne called The Commune (we didn't even know what a commune was then) ..I used to go down every Tuesday night and hear Dutch play the blues. You were an inspiration Dutch and you've brought a lot of joy to people in this life. ...Happy Trails Slim Pickens
The blues master general. Great sound among good friends. Love and Peace Dutch Saint Peter needs to hear the Blues, and I can't find a better man to educate him!! James
All the Best Dutch ................ your shows up here in Cairns a couple of years ago at the Tramways Bar are remembered for the great joy you bought to a lot of north Queensland blues fans ..... stay positive and take care ...... Terry Doyle ..... PS magic song .... magic clip!!!!!
How I remember him playing at the Kermis (Dutch Festival) in Dandenong and at Sandown in later years. Poffetjes, zoute drop, and Dutch Tilders, my idea of a great time. Sadly missed another great Kaas Kop in the Blues club above.
Hey Dutch , You are great , and I wish you well . I heard that your health was not so good , and I hope that you get to feeling better soon . Take care of yourself , and keep playing the music that we all love ! Neonharp
Gee Dutch the first time I really took notice was when you played in the lounge room at Chrissie and Noel's in Bowen Street and gee I have seen you a lot since then! The Live with the Blues Club helped me keep sane during my five years in China. I hope you keep up the good fight and last the distance. I'l be glad to see you come back from the journey for another Heineken!
When it came to the original blues man in Oz ... along with Broderick Smith and Chain ... he was the original godfather of the blues ! If a persons success is measured by the love and respect of his peers and the public then he was the master !
@worldslump Hi Dave, haven't we had some great jams with the old Dutchman! I hope you can make it over to this neck of the woods again, soon. Cya bye and bye :) Martin Cooper
