Hello @kinglt1188 there is no short-easy answer. Range of Two way radio is dependant on many factors such as "Line of Sight" conditions and weather a system is used or not. I guess the Short answer will be anything around 1.5km up to 100's of Km's depending on many Factors at the time. @@madbroindustries Increasing the range is not easy as the radio can only produce so much power, however, there are service software available that could "tweak" the output power slightly but not much. Your local Radio Dealer / Distributor will be able to do this but may charge you for doing so. Basically its like Dyno-Tuning for your Radio. Look at Investing in a SFR solution that will Greatly Increase your Range without any Changes to your Device like external antennas etc.

Obtain the encryption key from your local dealer or distributor. it must be inserted via the software. there will most probably be a cost involved

Yes, it should be usable on the brandmeister network. I believe it meets the DMR standards like other DMR radios on the market.
