Warm it with a hair dryer before and after application. Then with a shoe brush to pick up excess. I have used it on hats, cowboy boots, and shoes. But a little heat, not hot, to warm puts it into the materials for long lasting waterproofing. Once a year is my norm. Been using it for over 10 years. A quick hit with hair dryer then brush renews pretty easily.
Awesome video man. just the info I was looking for. Recently had to endure 40 hours of soaking wet feet in 50 degree weather. Will definitely be pairing sno-seal with whatever boots I upgrade to.
Oboz boots are kick ass too. Great video should love to see some examples and maybe temperature reads in the future if you wish to get deeper in the technicalities
I have a pair of these boots and the GoreTex mesh leak like a sieve. First time I wore them I walked in dew covered grass and I literally had to wring the water out my socks. No point in me waterproofing the rest of the boot. :( I quickly learned that the only truly waterproof boot is a rubber boot.
Hmm that certainly shouldnt be the case. The gore tex membrane runs throughout the boot. Ive been in snow, rain, small creeks, and kept dry feet. That was in two different pairs, same model boot, one sno sealed and one not. The only difference, and it was absolutely noticeable, was the warmth. Have you considered putting a paper towel in them and running them under a faucet or putting them in the bath tub? I would reach out to Salomon or the seller for a refund or exchange.
This stuff is awesome! Wish I found it a long time ago. Been wearing the boots the past week, snow, wind, rain, solved the wet leather and cold feet problem charmingly. Really wish they offered a bigger can tho so I could 500 pairs of boots instead of just 50 😅😂 are you going to pick some up? $22 on Amazon.

(To prove they leak). If you’d be willing we would love to see the mini experiment via text or email.
