As someone with a stack of fabric waiting to be turned into garments, I’m so impressed that you used last month’s fabric within the month. Your dress turned out so well and looks fabulous on you. On my screen this month’s fabric did seem to make you look a bit pale. I think it will be perfect with you however with a dark top that picks up either the brown (reddish brown on my screen) or the color used for the boats (navy, black?). Pants, skirt, or a pinafore/tunic would be my pick.

Thank you so much Julie for your lovely honest comments :-) The fabric will be trousers and I need to shop :-) for some blue fabric and probably some brown fabric as well so I can make a couple of tops. I made a promise to myself that I would use my fabric and not hoard it :-) then I can buy more fabric :-) x

Love your dress Julie, it suits you. I think a pair of trousers with the new material. The cross stitch looks nice, a quick and easy one. 🥰

You could make some swishy trousers or a skirt, or if you want it closer to your face, add a contrast colour collar in one of the darker colours in the fabric. I was hoping you would get one of the other 3 colour ways instead, but with another colour close to the face, it is a lovely neutral. That colourway would have been one of my better ones. I got the darkest one, and since there is a bit more fabric in this box, I think I can squeeze out a short sleeve top for my husband as well as something for myself. So the one I got is the best for the two of us. There was just one colourway that would have done nothing for my skin tone, but luckily I didn't get it. It would be great on most other people though.

Your Montana dress looks fab Julie. Thinking that the pale fabric would make a nice shirt that you could wear open with a navy T-shirt/vest underneath.

Your dress is beautiful on you... i think a pair of pj's... maybe the Donny top as the pj top.... ..or a kaftan to wear with linen trousers and a rust cami top...maybe the ogden cami?

Yes, I think some sort of bottoms would be nice in that fabric. I received the peachy color way and it’s not exactly my colors, but I think I’ll do a simple woven tee because I don’t like a small print on my bottom half. I’m tall so probably not enough fabric for a dress for me.

Yes I think trousers would be a good idea, nice and floaty for the summer :-). What about a tunic for the summer, or a dressing gown ?. I hope you find a pattern to use for your fabric x

You could make a pinafore or skirt or long shorts with it and make a solid fabric brown or navy shirt to wear with it.

Love the style of the dress you have on. It’s looks lovely fabric but I think the colour rather drains you - as there are three other colour ways this month may be it would be a good idea to swop it for a darker colour. Good luck.😊

Love your dress, great use of the fabric. If you want to make a kaftan, there is a great free pattern - search the stitch sisters free kaftan. I think wide legged trousers would be good. What about the safiya trousers by tilly and the buttons?

Thank you so much Ruth :-). I am thinking of trousers for this fabric. Thank you for letting me know about the free kaftan pattern I will have a look at that xxx

Thank you for your honest opinion Margaret, I do appreciate that :-) It is definitely not my colour but I will use the fabric this month for sure. I do love the idea of a dressing gown, thank you x
