I got a ram mount with a flat surface meant for a brake reservoir then zip tied the day lights out of it. Not the best solution I'm sure, but it works. Appreciate the view
i own the same one, same year, same color. so far so good, i bought it for 1300 with 12000miles. i had no problems at all, the only think i dont like is that for highways is kinda little but you can go at 70s 80s mph ( wich is ok but i would like a little bit more) but more than that isnt recommend . anyways im happy with my gw250 , is extremely economic in gas too and is excellent for the city. i love how it looks ,easy to ride , is my first bike here in america , i do reccomend it. sorry for english and great video dude
@@Gamer-db6xp it is a great beginner bike. Light, so it's easy to pick back up when you go down. And the seat height is low so you can have your feet solid on the ground
@@Gamer-db6xp Not any specific to the bike but if you feel uncomfortable in any situation just take your time and get through it. Also any time you can practice panic stops and maneuvering in an empty parking lot is good.
It is more comfortable to ride on the 250 in city rush hour traffic than more powerful bikes where it feels like you have to constantly try to reign them in. Basically a fun upgrade to the electric scooter which can manage to go on the highway if it wants to. Great beginner and commuter bike.
when you eliminate the cat converter, and the oxygen sensor, I can believe that your bike crackles and pops sometimes because, to save the engine, most fuel management systems, when there is a problem with the oxygen sensor, it will default into safe mode, as in for rich mixture on the gas. In other words, it pumps the maximum amount of gas through the injectors.. that popping sound is probably your exhaust gas, since it is so rich and thick with and burnt gas, it continues to burn in the exhaust system as it meets the negative oxygen pulse in the muffler as it is almost exhausted out the exhaust.I can guarantee the spike is running as badly as it possibly can. It is the equivalent of, if it had carburetors, the choke being stuck on at 400 pounds, that makes it one of the heaviest 250cc motorcycles ever. It’s 60 pounds heavier than the Honda CBR 250. It’s heavier because it’s physically larger, they made it that way for larger beginners so they don’t feel like they’re riding a rollerskate. The engine makes 24 claimed horsepower not 27, which means it probably makes around 20 hp, at sea level. That is where all internal combustion engines make their maximum power unless you’re at Bonneville salt Flats which is below sea level, and they actually make more horsepower there. Example, the average formula 1 race car loses approximately 100 hp when they have their race at Mexico City which is over a mile high in elevation. The reason for that is, there is less air up there.
katana767 Sorry I'm just seeing this. That's actually really funny I've upgraded to the xsr900, the fz's bigger cousin, and I love it. Have fun and keep it upright.
Nice review man. What is the phone mount you used? I have the same bike and am having trouble finding a good way to secure my RAM mount to the handle bar.
RAM Mounts (RAM-B-346U) Motorcycle Brake/Clutch Reservoir Cover Base with 1" Ball Offset www.amazon.com/dp/B003CMNXIO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_PoMSxbT2C361T I flipped it so the ball was the lowest point and crossed from corner to corner and one in the center holes with zip ties. Then used a one inch adapter to attach the phone mount. Doesn't provide 100% rigidity for videos, but won't let go of my phone.

CBW0314 I do still have it but I've upgraded as well, I moved up to a Yamaha XSR900. It's a fun and torquey bike for sure with its 847cc three cylinder.

indypennst8r I see so many US youtube bikes that have been stripped, badly sprayed and poorly modified yet the owners are convinced they look great. Doesn't seem to happen as of often elsewhere
It seems your bike came already stripped and wasnt having a personal attack. Im picking up one of these bikes in a couple of days. Looking forward to enjoying this simpler more economical style of motorcycling

COYOTE ADVENTURES Thank you. Astonishingly enough it is a full system that cost less than 400$.

You ste a smart young man for ignoring your ego and using your head and getting a smaller bike as your first bike
I love my inazuma AKA “Little Thunder” ride on! Cheap, fast, economical, fun… don’t ignore smaller capacity bikes.

Thank you, I appreciate that. It's great for inner city work because of that amazing fuel economy. And I agree it is scary to take it on the highway.
Alexander Steffen is it a good beginner bike?

I myself am going between an FZ-07 and GW250 for my first bike. I've heard the FZ-07 is fine to learn on, so I may go with that. Thanks for the info!

The US seem to be great at ruining decent bikes.
Jay B and what do you mean by that? Curious not defensive

Jay B that is very true. I am by no means an amazing painter or think mine could win shows. Just wanted to make it mine.

Jay B it really was, and worries. Everyone has their own style, hope you enjoy it. Around town it's fun and gets good fuel consumption
