Fun fact (that you may already know)… Scavenger is based on a specific O&K unit: the Syncrude Canada oilsand shovel. All Syncrude shovels have a designation “call number” that starts with 11. Unit 11-38 was the last of Syncrude’s hydraulic shovels. The color is based on the company’s “Syncrude Red” which all of Syncrude’s mining shovels were painted. The real thing is capable of loading 400t ultra class haul trucks like the CAT 797. I’ve worked with 11-38 in different capacities over the years. Loved seeing this on the big screen.
Honestly I think this might be the Best Scavenger Figure, when it comes to the Studio Series, Mechanical Alliance, and Devil Savoir. I say this because Mechanical Alliance's Scavenger is in proper scale with the Studio Series Voyager Optimus Prime, it looks like it jumped off the Screen, and most importantly it's fun to transform. It's harder to transform than the Studio Series but not as hard as Devil Savoir's. Also I'm really excited to see the full combined mode, because I'm curious to see if it's bigger than the Devil Savoir Version.
I love this thing, it is just a shame that due to it being the final component to form Devastator for the Mechanical Alliance team they had to sacrifice the mold. Seriously if you compare the head sculpt to that of the Studio Series Scavenger there is a-lot of detail and peices missing. Same goes for the details on his ear pieces and overall the mold is just missing details that the original had.
EM! Please, please, please do a full combine video of all the Mechanical Alliance Constructicons! I just got the final two figures and I can't find anything online of how to combine them. You're a lifesaver!
I try to be open minded every time it comes up in the hope this time there will be a toy that allows me to appreciate it...but that robot mode...even done really well it can't escape the design...vehicle mode though, chefs kiss, that looks great

Mine came with the two red arms that attached to the upper wheel on swapped. Had to disassemble them and switch them with each other in order for them to clip into the wheel properly.
Hey emgo ,love your video but I was curios , do you archive the skits or even full reviews ? Or ever though of compiler all skits when a line is time, like say the titan lines when everyone is just a head XD
this set is by far superior to other third party sets ive handled this one is made of better feeling materials doesn't make you take out a second mortgage, the figures can actually stand under their own weight, they don't fall to pieces doing the exact thing they were designed to do, they don't disintegrate in your hands and the best part is this combined mode doesn't need crutches just to stand. putting up with the fore mentioned isnt worth some dirt and grime paint aps.

devil saviors scavenger is not that hard to transform, its more just time consuming because of his size
as someone who has both I can confirm that MT’s devastator is quite a bit bigger

It's more accurate to the real O&K RH400 from 1999 so it works.

I love mine but I put too much force on the head and snapped it's attaching point. So now it's permanently headless. Good thing it stays combined.
Try gluing the head back by using 502 glue. It can literally stick anything back.
