Making my FB roaster has been a learning experience but I've finally got the TC4+ installed and I'm ready to start playing with some profiles. Had to move the TC4+'s mosfet off the main board and onto a sizeable heat sink as my fan is 18v/16A. A couple of weeks ago my thermocouple wires shorted and I fried the MCP3424 chip - ordered a replacement chip and amazed myself when I finally got the TC4+ working again. Great video! Just downloaded artisan myself. But, I can't find a tc4 shield anywhere! Jim apparently isn't making them anymore? His website is down. Is anyone making them? Or clones? Thanks!
They are a bit hard to find. There are a few people making them or compatible boards over at the Homeroasters.org forum. Also there are a version of the boards available on OSHPark if you're OK soldering one yourself.

Hi, Why do you change your Baud rate to 19200? is it machine depended?
Yes, the baud rate is set depending on the hardware you are connecting to. In this case my TC4 is programmed to use 19290 baud.
where to get TC4? Ebay?
They've been available on Tindie. But out stock at the moment. I hope to have more available in about a month.
