  • In today's video we rank the best and worst vegetables in terms of nutrition. This will be based not only in terms of the overall nutritional profile of vegetables, but more importantly which vegetables will be better for us in terms of digestion of those nutrients. And just to caveat, these vegetables will be based on the top 30 vegetables that people commonly eat.

TIER LIST SERIES (BEST & WORST)
I would like to welcome you to my Tier List (Best & Worst) series. Here I will rank foods not only in terms of their nutritional profile but also which foods and nutrients are better digested. Because its not just the foods that you are eating what is the important thing, its what your body can digest! As always if you have any suggestions for video or topic ideas then be sure to drop me an email at contact@gojimannutrition.com

I would have put spinach in the B or C tier due to the fact that you can't eat a lot of it.

Agreed, spinach has so much oxalates (55x that of kale) that I genuinely worry about all the people piling spinach into to their daily smoothies.

Generally commercial mushrooms are grown in poor lighting and not UV, therefore have a very low level of Vit D. But if you leave them in the midday sun for about 15-20 minutes the Vit D level rises significantly.

    Where are potaotes?
Courgette is a fruit like tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, eggplants and every squashes and pumpkin.

I also missed potatoes 🥔, as a couple of others mentioned..., miss and miss, I eat them all the time 😏
I know that boiling them is best and then refrigerating before reheating and eaten or...
But information almost everywhere is all over the place, and I'm confused 😕
But even though they might not be quite up there I love them ❤💚

Great video. Surprised beetroot wasn't higher with that deep purple colour that stains everything. Would have been interested to see avocado included.

When I found out spinach was high in oxalates I was really bummed out, because I like cooking with spinach, and it's really high in vitamins / minerals. I rarely eat it anymore sadly.

Surprised to see artichokes so high on the list. I grow them myself, but after eating 40 of them this spring I left the remaining buds to bloom. Bumblebees love them too 🙂
