My Honda Trail 125 is coming in 2 weeks. Cannot wait. This is my 1st motorcycle a long time coming. Nice to see Honda give Canadians some of these options!!
Hello. I live in Colorado in the USA and just picked up my new CT125 a week ago. And yes, we can just walk into a Honda dealer and buy a CT125. But most dealers have a waiting list because of this little gem of a bike being so popular. I ordered mine online and over the phone, paid a non-refundable deposit and got my bike nearly 60 days later. Sadly, we can only get the Red color but it definitely is visible! I'm getting ready to go out for a ride today and enjoy myself on my new Honda. Enjoy yours and keep the videos coming.
There are still long lines here in the US. They seem to be shipping a lot more recently though. I've had mine for 1 year this month coming. I have enjoyed mine more than any other of my bikes! Got 9500 miles ( 15,300 Km). Happy Trails!!
I am from the US right outside of Philly and I just bought a used 125 2021 at a dealership near me but when I was looking for it pretty much nobody had them and that’s what I was told when I got to the dealership that I was lucky that I was able to get it
Best bike reviews! Provide the info in a humorous way. Keep doing what you’re doing Smokey
There are over 20 excellent modifications for the bike. Some improve speed and performance!
Look at older video from (RIDE WITH WARRO). IPROMISE YOU WILL LOVE IT! (ABOUT A YR OLD)
This 1st ride review feels very special to me, my uncle owned a 1995 Honda EconoPower/Supercub 90cc(Dominican Republic), the ergonomics, the sound of the engine is the same, I learned how to ride on it. Here (Toronto, Canada) this one costs 5.640.00 Canadian dollars.
About a year ago these bikes were pretty difficult to find in Ohio. These days they seem to be easier to find. In fact, just today I was in the local Honda Dealership and they had one available in green, just like yours. Enjoying your videos and just subscribed.
Very funny first introduction to Honda, I had a really good time, especially with the crazy smile with every bump :D
If you want to down shift in correct ways , just push the gear up an hold it , rev match and release the gear .
Try it
The quality on this thing is insane.. Nice review!
we went to a local honda dealer in Tennessee this past weekend. they had a used 2022 CT125 and 3 new 2023 Ct125's on the floor. We bought the 2023 Green one.
Just got one and love it. Specialist importer her in UK. Wheely is easy with auto clutch. Put into 1st but keep pedal down. Get the revs high. Then let go and pop your wheely....Have fun 😂
Just found your channel - very enjoyable videos! Thanks.
When I was a kid we had a couple of C90’s that we used to ride off road round a track , and we found the best way to wheelie them was to stand on the rear footpegs and haul them up ..mind you it doesn’t look like these have rear pegs
American Honda is now flooding the market with the 2022 Trail 125s. They were rare but I think they are unloading these to our dealers as the new 2023 version with the better motor are making their way to the Asian market soon. No word on USA getting the 2023. I expect this to be delayed till all the left over 2022s get sold
Local dealer has two on floor and they are not moving very fast. The lack of top speed with 74kph or 45mph seems to be the top reachable speed within reason. Yes it will hit 80kph 50mph but only when you wait for it to crawl up to that speed with a good draft or down hill. The 2022 Grom I have had the new motor and a 5 speed manual transmission. It will do 55mph like the trail does 45. It also can top out over 60 on a flat.
Didn't know that , thanks for the info bud!
Pricey for amount of juice. Still interested they are available but again marked up. The place to get one is Thailand. If I remember they are made their just like many gx engine's an eu2200i gen possible all generators. Problem is getting on plane and being cost effective. They half the price of use market, the wave is oth pop model
Thanks for review! Cool dashboard! 🧐
I never thought to ask the dealer if they can arrange one for me. Gotta try it, I love this bike, gotta have it.
Love the color of your's. I hate the grips too. I also installed Grip Puppies over mine. You can just walk in to some dealerships and buy these in some places in the USA. I wish I would have waited on the 2023. It has an oil filter feature and a couple other upgrades over our model year.
I’m attracting some guests……. Love it! Cow’s obviously love the Honda Trail 125 as well! Great review. Thanks for sharing!
More them welcome Joe 😎👌
I'm in the US and these bikes are hard to get but not impossible. I decided I wanted on a few months ago and within a few days of calling all around, I found a dealer in NY state who had one and wasn't charging crazy fees to its customers. It lists for $3,999, plus $500 for shipping and set up fees, plus any additional make believe fees the dealer charges on top of that. All said and done, I paid $4,999 out the door from a place about three hours away from where I live. I still had to pay for local registration and local sales tax but that's true with any vehicle. Insurance for this bike is stupid cheap. $72 for a year of full coverage.
Damn that is a descent price! 😁👌
I really want to get one of these! In that same colour too. They just look so cool 😄
14:42
1- Go for second gear
2- down shift ti first gear with holding the gear leaver
3- give it som gas and release the gear
Enjoy and be safe
the owners manual talks about how to down shift, but it's also quirky in that you pretty much only shift from 2nd to 1st when you've already stopped
I love my CT125 too. Mine doesn't have that funky gearbox setup, mine is 4 up from neutral, lifting up the lever with the toes (or pushing down with the heel to shift up) and 4 down pushing down with toes and no way to cycle direct from 4th to neutral, but my owners manual is printed for both here in Australia and for Indonesia, the Indonesia labelled page for the gears shows theirs is set up like yours though, kinda reversed and able to upshift to neutral from 4th when stopped unlike mine.
that is an insane way to arrange the gears. i wonder why it's done that way.
Your English is amazing. So well done!!!
The shifting is done like that on purpose because Honda marketed this bike for people to go to work on other continents such as America and if you go to work and wear a suit and polished shoes you would ruin them by conventional up-shifting, hence the heel shifting was introduced. You only need to press the shifter instead of lifting the shifter
Great review for a nice bike!
Best verkochte voertuig ooit, de cub of is het cup .. je ontmoet de leukste mensen op een Honda . Zeggen ze . :) Give Goaaaas .
Fricking great review
I love this bike. Wish I could have it too. It is ridiculous how expensive it will be when I want to import one from Japan to Germany.
$2500 usd Thailand..
First thing I did with my grips was order Grip Puppies. I do leather work too so I’m going to cover over those too even with a layer to make the diameter larger. I have pretty decent carpal tunnel and it helps a lot.
Thanks for mentioning these, I didn't know these were a thing, and one of my small gripes was the hands getting pins and needles or pain from the grips. I took a ride this afternoon to the store to buy some and will fit them tomorrow.
@@danx7143 they were a snug fit getting on so I’d recommend using plenty of window cleaner as lube.
@@The_RC_Guru It was very tight lol. we got there in the end though.
Geinig dingske 👍
Btw, your japanese is impressive 😆
My language teacher just got green one looks very attractive $2500 usd.. told her don't leave it parked out in the sun.
So cool😮
Local dealers in the USA have them for $4,000 and most are red, had a few tan ones last year.
I live here in Australia and bought my Ct125 about 9 months ago, they are just over 8 thousand Australia dollars ride away and with the new Australia Design rules now, all motorcycles coming into Australia have to have dual ABS and Honda Australia will not be bringing them back into Australia, I got one of the last lot they bought into Australia.
The Honda CT 125 is available in the States. Though not in great quantities. The manufacturer suggested retail price for a 2023 model is, $3999.00.
Oh damn that's not that cheap to be honest 😅
Looks like a true adventure bike 😂
Sweeeet bike. Still awaiting mine
Exhaust is the right colour. The history of the CT going back to the 60s has chrome on there. It would not be a CT without the shiny exhaust pipe!!!
I agree 100% 😁👌
when did it arrive in france ? thanks😛
Im a big Zontes fan would be cool if u could get your hands on a Zontes.
That Green is pure perfection. Sure wish we could get that in the US. 1st thing i would do though is Black out the exhaust.
I have only seen red ones in Usa? Is that right? 😁
@@LifeofSmokey Yes, Unfortunately. I would rather have the old color schemes of the Trail 90 and 110 to choose from. I would pay top dollar for a Orange and Gray one.
Here in the US the CT125 is a scarce commodity. You cannot just go in and buy one, you have to hunt one down. I bought a used 2021 with 100 miles on it. The previous owner didn't ride it. I paid 5K for it and that's about what they paid for it new.
Damn also $5000 😲😲😲. But it's not just a small moped as I thought. It's a tough 100kg small motorcycle 😁
Schoon machien! Ik wil wel mee TET NL rijden 😂!!
This shifter is pretty normal to Asian people. Try shifting downshift with your feet a little bit up using your tip toe not with your heel otherwise your feet will hurt within an hour.
Solid small bike... cool...
it's really weird your shift pattern reverse of the normal(US) version of my CT125. I push down on the front shifter to shift up top higher gears and use the heel shifter to shift down to lower gears. Like this--> 1234..4321. plus ther eis no Neutral after 4th like yuo say when you press the shifter at the end of 4th.
Yep maybe it's easy to reverse I don't know 😅🙈
i also want a CT125 ❤
I've yet to see the green in bright sunlight. Is there a metallic or pearl effect to it?
Not as far as I can tell 😎
CT125 - CAD$ 5500 in Canada which is EUR 3600. Avalible, but not very polular, not very convinient to ride on snow )))))
I would love to own one .
Only Honda 🇯🇵🇯🇵❤️❤️
Are you planning to install front bumpers on your motorcycle? Any Honda branded ones?
I bought a ton of stuff from Thailand. Will install all on a new video 😉
@@LifeofSmokey Great! Waitin' for review!
Nice commuter motorcycle
Where are you mounting your cam on helmet?
On the chin using chin mount
It's available right now at my local Honda dealer for $4k. It's easier to buy one in Georgia, USA.
What colour can you choose from or just red?
@@LifeofSmokey The only color "Red".
what? 75 km/h max on 125 cm3? i have honda sh50i and 49,5cm3 max 100km/h whay you didnt that honda sh125i or sh150i or sh300i?
Love your gloves! Where can i buy them?
AliExpres for cheap! I hate spending 30€ on the same gloves just because they have a big brandname on it and they are also made in China. You can find tons on Aliexpres for like 7€ 😂
Love them so much I bought 2............
Damn that is love!!! I would buy 2 also , leave one in a crate for 30 years 😁
@@LifeofSmokey They are very popular here, in Thailand. Bought one for me and the Girlfriend to travel round. 30 years, doubt I will last that long...haha
Ok.2 liters gazolin/100 km...that reason for 85 km/h...Anyway in Hungary is imposibe DWLA and MOT..😢😢😢
I hope this bike available soon in eu
Salut, elle est tres jolie cette moto 🙂
😂 Built for going to War or something 😂 Cracked me Up that 🤣 😂 😅
You need to get a splendor bike most sold bike on earth
I will need to sell my heavy Cruiser due to my age and get one of these.
I am not 100% sure but I'm almost positive 😊 these bikes are designed by Honda and built in Thailand. I recommend to anyone who bought one to make sure you read the owner's manual from start to finish. (It won't take you that long) EVERYTHING that they have printed are words directly from the almighty himself.... 🙏 Or if you want your mom. Now I realize most people won't follow all these rules to the letter (I admit I can't even if I wanted to on some of them) but its the bible for the bike and luckily mine also included the riders safety guide (for motorcycling in general) and I recommend you read that front to back as well and then study the sections you might not understand until you finally get it ? lol... (Maybe the part about operating while under the influence of intoxicants and even prescription drugs is likely one of the most important.) Anyhew we got one yesterday (2022 red) and there's a couple things I wish were different but overall it's great. Pros: The pickup handling and speed are top notch no doubt about that the gas ⛽ mileage is again awesome and even when it's empty it's still got 0.26 of a gallon as a backup... I'm still going to put the extra tank on the back where the tool kit goes I think it is but in time... Cons: it is a bit heavy at 260 lbs, I do not like that the blinkers don't turn off by themselves, it also annoys the hell out of me that I keep hitting that emergency flashers button which should have been a separate button..., and this may be a problem isolated to my own or us models But the transmission is exactly the opposite to shift it you have to go back to go down you go forward ? Seems kind of crazy to me I don't know... If you're looking for accessories ? I suggest you check out beez in thailand (where they are built/assembled) they have 17 pages of accessories!!! I can't look anymore because I'm afraid because I don't have any money now lmao so I had to limit it to the first couple pages 😊 anyhow thanks to the video appreciate it. I learned all this through a lot of videos... One of the best to watch is the guy that goes on a 720 mile ride mostly in the rain with a trailer on the back of the thing doing 55 most of the time it was amazing. Since you asked they are STILL hard to find and when you can they have inflated the prices usually as well... The dealership where we just got the 2022 red only got one of the 2023s green this year and it was sold before they even got it I think they kept it somebody at the dealership for themselves. Also I might mention it seems like if you're in Thailand or might even be in that region you can pretty much get any color you want... Funny huh lol I've seen green and a brown/tan like noone there gets the red one. GL
Oh I forgot to mention the main thing that I wanted to change (other than the the transmission shifting the other way) is I wish the handbrake was on the left side with a clutch would have been. That seems like it would be obvious and back in the day that's how it was I don't understand this is all kind of confusing but something to do working all this out thanks
Love it especially in green that rack looks like it could survive a nuclear blast 100% agree about that exhaust should be black
Can’t wait to see it once you’ve got all the accessories on it
Perhaps the rack is to take carrier pigeons crate 😅
If it's a hard bike to get where you live, it's ok to spend more. Like buying milk in Antartica. If it makes you as excited as he is, get it.
I have to remember this one hahahah
Just ordered one in the UK for £5,000 on the road with registration - You've removed the wing mirrors?
No didn't put them on yet , they took them off for shiping 😁
@@LifeofSmokey Excellent.. Looking forward to seeing what accessories you find useful for it, mine has just arrived on the ship 28/3/23
this is the best over all daily bike of the world. And Honda doesn`t offer it us here at Europe :-((
Nice, that bike is not sold in South Africa.
They are hard to find here in America 🇺🇸
How did you get it registered?
I didn't....yet 😅🫢
@@LifeofSmokey Please make a video about this when it's done. If you did it legally. If you didn't do it legally, don't make a video about it :D
$5640CDN in Canada. Plus 13% tax and plates. "Coming soon" according to Honda Canada. You are attracting many female viewers!! (In the farm field😅). Please do not submerse the little Honda. I'm a huge fan of all the mini Hondas as well! Even the Navi! Low cost theft control on the toolbox! I like the back to neutral concept!
In Japan, that bike would be 3,354 euros with tax and registration.
damn, it looks like it ride so smooth, why are they so freaking expansive to get in belguim :(
have fun with it smokeyy!
Because they need to be imported from the other side of the world :-)
Import it from Thailand, most Japanese manufacturers had plants in Thailand
FY Honda for not selling them in Europe market
Thats not fair
la compraría si no fuera tan cara, en España va a salir por 5.000 €
They sell it in Spain?
That would make registration much easier and cheaper as buying from outside the EU!
Thanks for that information ❤️
I think this bike is great but I can't really wrap my head around why other japanese brands have not copied the concept?
That's the honda xrm version in our country. Its the Toyota Corolla of motorcycles. You cant destroy them
How you managed to registrate it? What Country? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease..... 🚲
No registration just yet , working on it 😅
😎🤘🏼
They're hard to find here, but they are getting easier to find than the last couple of years.
The Super Cub is extremely hard to find!
there is Japanese anime called, Super Cub, all about a girl who buys one and learns how to use it, and adventures with it, etc. it's pretty good.
rubber tape on the grip
wo kann ich eine kaufen??
Japan 😅
Top speed is much closer to 90-95km per hour.
That's called heel and toe shifting. I absolutely hate that thing, i had that on my classic 350 i changed it into single lever.
I find the heel and toe shifting on my CT125 just fine and was easy to adjust to, I probably wouldn't have easily adjusted if it was reversed like his though.
Take a measurement of the maximum speed!
And make a night review, shoot how it shines at night!
Cool scooter, too bad it's not available in Europe at a reasonable price :
Indeed 😁
Love the color. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and the bike. Please like stop like saying like so much. It's like hard to like listen to you like speak.
Gonna be a boring video if I don't speak like don't ya think 😅
Thailand ya guy you
you need shinko tair hahahahahaha
come on its made in Thailand.
Hi,
I am seeing you using a red dealer number plate. Any news concerning your attempts getting it street legal?
Greetings from Switzerland!
Nope didn't find the time to do it all 😅
@@LifeofSmokey good luck then. I have been investigating things for a little while and it seems far from being easy. A pity, that Honda doesn’t import them into Europe
@@LifeofSmokey I did some further research. Without Euro-5 it will get difficult. But there is an idea (which I have not been able to validate, yet): putting the Euro-5 engine from the SuperCub into the HunterCub.
Looks like it has rear passenger pegs but no passenger seat...
That is correct , you can get an optional seat for that rear steel rack 😌
Thank you
Please test Indian bikes
Thank you again sir
🇮🇳🙏
Hmm.. mooie kentekenplaat 😆 🤫
It's an insured license plate for a Honda no worries 😎
